Based in Shanghai, Peter Tyroller will assume responsibility for Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific region from Uwe Raschke, who held the post since 2008. Raschke has been reassigned with regional responsibility for Europe, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa, and has had worldwide responsibility for the consumer goods sector since January 2013.
“Asia Pacific will continue to be the main driver of Bosch’s growth and I am honoured to take over the responsibility for this important region,” said Tyroller on his appointment.
Tyroller has been a member of the Bosch management board since2006. He has been responsible for marketing and sales, original equipment sales, and the automotive aftermarket division.
“In 2012, Asia Pacific already contributed 24 percent of Bosch’s global sales and we have made it our target to increase this figure to 30 percent over the mid-term...over the next few years, Asia Pacific will be at the centre of the Bosch Group’s capital expenditure and workforce increases,” Tyroller added.
Southeast Asia will continue to play an important role for the further development of the region,” he said. In 2013, the company will invest around EUR680 million in the region.
Additionally, Tyroller will assume responsibility for India previously held by Bernd Bohr, who is set to retire after 30 years with Bosch.
