Taking place twice a year (August in Ho Chi Minh City and December in Hanoi), Vietnam Medi Pharm Expo has seen the most cost-effective exhibition in more than two decades.
On three days, December 1-3, 2016 at Hanoi’s Cultural Palace the 23rd International Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Exhibition will be organised with support from the ministries of Health, Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company (Vinexad) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The exhibition will consist of 250 booths displaying products from 150 companies in 18 countries and territories around the world, such as the UK, the US, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Russia, Korea, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, India, Bangladesh and Vietnam.
Notably, Korea will bring 25 well-known businesses in pharmaceutical processing, packaging, dentist, ophthalmology, surgical tools, recovery equipment, and environmental equipment.
Human Happiness through Dental Health is the slogan of SewonMedix In., one of the most advanced corps in Korea in the dentist transplant sector.
Also, Korea’s KJ MEDITECH CO., LTD and companies from Pakistan will present updated technologies and wish to meet local partners for further development of the dentistry which has been booming in Vietnam.
Canada with VIVA PHARMACEUTICAL INC. has been famous for its functional products licensed by GMP Canada.
Similar products will also be introduced by other brands such as Dr. Muller Pharma S.r.o (the Czech Republic); and Polvita, Baniphar, Minh Long Chau, Tam Quoc te of Vietnam.
BMG International will present DOCTOR 100 rollers treating bone, nerve and blood circulating diseases invented by Vietnamese doctors.
Medical equipments, surgical tools, ultrasound, electrocardiogram, emergency machines will get exposure to the public by giants from Germany, Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, the UK and the US that will be a spotlight for specialists, tenders, hospitals, businesses and those who are interested in health care and treatment sector.
Korea’s SKY SOFTGEL, a specialist in manufacturing pharmaceutical products packaging and processing, has been participated in the exhibition for years to introduce latest technologies to local medical manufacturing companies.
The exhibition also dedicates time to conferences, symposiums, free medical check and introductions of products, besides blood donation programme.
The medical equipment revenue in the Vietnamese market is estimated at around $800million per year. The figure is expected to reach $1.2 billion in 2016 and $1.8 billion in 2018, growing an average 18-20 per cent annually from 2016-2020.
Vietnam has grown into an appealing emerging market to pharmaceutical and medical businesses around the world which are among the top lucrative sectors at the time being.
Demands are on the rise in the years ahead, particularly in the picture diagnoses, operation booths, recovery and testing equipment.
So far, 90 per cent of medical equipment available in Vietnam mainly comes from Japan, Germany, America, China and Singapore, making up 55 per cent of Vietnam’s total medical equipment import.
Ipsos Business Consulting, one of the largest and most progressive market intelligence-based growth strategy consulting companies, estimates the Vietnamese medical equipment sector is very promising as the longevity of Vietnamese people has been increasing in the 60-70 age range that will further medical needs in the future.
Since Vietnam joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2007, more and more medical equipment companies have been rushing to Vietnam such as Terumo, Sonion and United Healthcare who have moved their manufacturing base from other nations to Vietnam to take advantage of low-cost labour and the government incentives.
