Techtronic Industries contributes to fostering sci-tech HR

Enthusiasm, and creativity were all on display during the final round of the first Integrated Circuit Design Competition for Smart Cities at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education on May 18.

The contest was the highlight of the 15th Ho Chi Minh City Youth and Innovative Festival, celebrating Vietnam Science and Technology Day.

Techtronic Industries Group (TTI) sponsorship of the event demonstrated an unwavering dedication to fostering talent related to sci-tech in Vietnam.

The final round was chaired by the SHTP Management Board in collaboration with the city's Youth Union, Department of Information and Communications, Department of Science and Technology, the Vietnam National University and several top technology corporations including TTI.

The teams came from some of the most prestigious tech universities from across the country, such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Polytechnic University, University of Natural Sciences, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education.

The final round came down to five exceptional groups with highly creative projects, chosen through rigorous evaluations by industry experts and engineers.

First prize for the Integrated Circuit Design Competition went to the AFE team from the University of Science at the Vietnam National University. The SIGSEGV team from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education achieved second prize. Third prize belonged to the ADC team, also from the University of Science, Vietnam National University.

In recent years, TTI has continuously supported such programmes to discover and facilitate talents in sci-tech to nurture high-quality talent and foster innovation in sci-tech across the city and the nation.

By engaging with SHTP, TTI commits to a shared vision of providing meaningful platforms for young engineers, envisaging enhancing science - technology progression and sustainable development.

TTI Vietnam has partnered with the HCMC Young Talent Sponsorship Fund to provide support to young talents in various fields

TTI Vietnam partnered with the HCMC Young Talent Sponsorship Fund in March of this year to organise an awards ceremony and support 10 young talents in various fields, including sci-tech.

This initiative aimed to assist these individuals in covering expenses related to education, research, training, and international competitions.

Before this, TTI Vietnam and members of the German Business Association (GBA) organised the “GBA Business Challenge” startup competition to support young talents in turning their entrepreneurial ideas into reality.

“The initiatives presented by the young participants in today’s competition have truly impressed us, particularly their ability to apply learned knowledge to devise practical solutions for smart, sustainable, and modern cities. TTI is very excited to see such vigorous growth of the local talented engineers, and we hope that some of these outstanding engineers may choose to join TTI one day,” Lixu noted.

Since its establishment in Vietnam, TTI has identified the country as one of the long-term commitments, actively engaging in social responsibilities to make positive impacts on the local community.

Through both business operations and social activities, TTI pledges to contribute to the development of high-quality human resources, promote advancement in science, technology, and innovation, and conduct breakthrough research initiatives for sustainable development in Vietnamese society.
