Malware threats on the rise
There were 209 million recorded internet attacks and 196 million malware incidents in January of 2011, according to the web security company Kaspersky Lab.
Last year, the count of recorded malware incidents hit a new record of 1.5 billion in 2010.
These figures were revealed by Tommy Bai, manager of Kaspersky Lab’s services and customer support division, during his recent visit to Vietnam.
The company also introduced products Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012 providing protection against viruses and malware, unknown threats and internet fraud.
In Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 messages analysis is performed not only by heuristic analysis of text, subjects and images, but also cloud technologies.
The two products will be available in Vietnam from November.
