The survey has pointed out an interesting finding: family connection is key to a full life. Among surveyed people, when being asked what is one thing that makes you feel the most fulfilled, more than 32 per cent of them said that family is main factor to a full life; while other factors are success, giving and health, at 12 per cent, 8 per cent and 7 per cent, respectively.
In terms of what they wished for their kids, more than 40 per cent of respondents said they want good health (41 per cent), followed by great adventure (29 per cent), and career success (17 per cent).
The survey also revealed that health is one of main factors that leads to a full life. It means that many people around the world agree with that point of view.
“Living a full life begins with health. That's our belief at Abbott, and our survey found that many people around the world agree,” said Elaine Leavenworth, senior vice president, chief marketing and external affairs officer at Abbott. “We hope that by inspiring people to think about what matters most to them and providing insight into ways to overcome key barriers in their lives, we will help people do more of what they love with the people they love.”
“Ultimately, we want to help people live the fullest, healthiest life possible. Understanding more about what people value the most and what gets in their way will help us serve them better," added Leavenworth.
With these global insights and as part of a global healthcare company's effort to encourage others to live life fully, Abbott is developing a series of tips that will help overcome some of the barriers uncovered in the global survey. These tips have been shared on the website www.LifetotheFullest.abbott so that people around the world can refer and apply to their daily lives.
