For the first time, Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh and World Bank Vietnam country director Victoria Kwakwa are hosting an online discussion on policy options for Vietnam’s development towards 2035.

This is one of various activities towards the development of the “Vietnam 2035″ report, a joint study by the Vietnamese government and the World Bank focusing on how the country can achieve its objectives to become a modern-oriented nation that is wealthy and provides room for its people to prosper.

The webpage www.dsi.mpi.gov.vn/vietnam2035/en/ has been set up not only to give information on how the preparation for the Vietnam 2035 Report is progressing, but more importantly, it provides a platform for all who want to contribute their experience and knowledge to the report during the preparation and consultation process, as well as in the report’s recommendations.

The first online discussion on “What do you want Vietnam to be in 2035 and how to get there?” will be open until the end January 20, 2015 and hosted by Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh and World Bank Vietnam country director Victoria Kwakwa.

Right from now, please share your views by submitting your comments and follow the discussion by clicking here.

Inputs from the public will be considered a useful source to make this study a substantial and practical guide for Vietnam’s development path.

The website will also frequently host live chats and thematic discussions so that the public can send questions and comments to experts who directly work on the report.
