The ceremony was held on May 24 in Ho Chi Minh City and was attended by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Thailand along with several leaders from C.P. Vietnam and the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam.
Montri Suwanpori was awarded for his great dedication to the Thai government, particularly during the pandemic. He was responsible for the implementation of many relief activities that provided necessities, medical equipment, and other support to people affected in Vietnam. Suwanpori's efforts helped ease the burden on the healthcare system and delivered hope to many families in difficult times.
Suwanpori has shown a love and attachment to Vietnam, often organising initiatives beneficial to society such as blood-donation drives; housing construction for disadvantaged families; awarding scholarships to poor students; support centres for orphans and people with disabilities; and free medical examinations in remote areas.
In addition to these charitable activities, Suwanposri plays an important role in promoting the good image of Thailand and its investors in Vietnam. As the head of C.P. Vietnam - one of the largest foreign-invested enterprises in the country, he consistently adheres to ethical business principles and has created many jobs here. This has built trust and respect from the business community and Vietnamese people towards Thai people.
The Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn is a noble recognition for his dedication and tireless efforts. This is not only a matter of personal pride for Suwanposri, but also a great honour for the entire C.P Vietnam family and all those who have accompanied him on his journey.
