Becamex hotels go green

Becamex embarks on its green journey thereby contributing to Binh Duong’s economy

Binh Duong is well known as a province with great potential for financiers. The tourism sector is constantly attracting investment, and in 2018 the region welcomed over 4.7 million visitors. The province continues to develop its infrastructure, and many large hotels have been built in the city to meet the needs of travellers.

With its unique cultural relics, beautiful natural landscapes, and popular sightseeing spots such as Hoi Khanh and Tay Tang pagodas, Phu Cuong Cathedral, Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquer Village, Phu An Bamboo Village, Tam Giac Sat Tunnel, and the Traditional Medicine Museum, Binh Duong boasts a lot of tourist attractions that people can enjoy visiting.

Among those highlights are the enthusiastic green projects of Becamex Hotel New City and Becamex Thu Dau Mot Hotel, which belong to Becamex Hospitality Hotel Group.

Since 2018, the hotels have used solar energy for their entire daytime hot water system, as well as for supplying electricity to the apartment area, health club, and restaurant.

Green solutions are applied effectively at the hotels in every single activity. The hotels have joined hands with Binh Duong to protect the environment, replaced plastic bags with environmentally-friendly non-woven bags, which are fully biodegradable in just 90 days, used biodegradable laundry chemicals certified by Cencon Centro de Control in Mexico, and equipped hotel facilities with LED lights.

The group offers to take visitors on a “green journey” with various activities for guests during weekends, including free yoga classes, free bicycle rentals, a health club with a fully equipped gym, a range of state-of-the-art training equipment for a complete body workout with aerobic machines, weight training facilities, and personal training sessions. Guests can also enjoy an outdoor infinity pool where they can relax and unwind by swimming or sunbathing on a luxurious poolside lounger.

As result, the Becamex Hotel New City was honoured with the awards “Most Unique Architectural Design” and “The Most Conferences Hosted” in 2018 by the Vietnam Tourism Association.
