Following a spectacular artistic programme, delegates and visitors immersed themselves in the festival atmosphere.
Eight teams from various communes and towns participated in several competitions. The most anticipated event was the fruit-picking contest, which required participants to pick plums by hand without shaking the trees, breaking branches, or damaging the fruit. The team from Moc Chau farm town won by picking 40.5kg of plums in just three minutes.
Equally lively was the plum-eating contest, where each team selected a representative to eat freshly picked plums. The fruit display competition featured vibrant red plums arranged with other local agricultural products to create maps of tourist sites or renowned landmarks on the Moc Chau Plateau.
At this special festival, visitors also admired the creative plum displays.
Le Trong Binh, Chairman of Moc Chau District People's Committee said, “Moc Chau plums are clean fruits that meet safety standards. The Moc Chau plum production area is part of Son La province’s safe fruit production planning. We will continue to guide farmers to produce according to safety standards and promote our products to friends both domestically and internationally.”
