Vingroup launches VinMart virtual store

VinMart 4.0 is a novel amalgamation of physical and virtual shopping, featuring the images of more than 100 products arranged like they were on the shelves at supermarkets. The store will work with QR codes, with which buyers can order items for shipping.

These semi-virtual stores will be set up at high population density areas like residential buildings, office buildings, schools, and bus stations, among others. Buyers only need to open the VinID application, select the Scan & Go feature to scan the QR code of products they wish to purchase at VinMart 4.0 and pay immediately through the same app. VinMart will deliver the goods to buyers within 2-4 hours.

Besides the VinMart virtual store, Vingroup also launches the Scan & Go shopping app in its 73 supermarkets around the country.

Along with VinMart 4.0, users can also experience “shopping from far away” through a smart shopping handbook. Different from the usual supermarket brochures, VinMart smart shopping handbooks have two versions (electronic and paper-based) to help users choose and buy goods directly by scanning QR codes via the Scan & Go feature.

More than 800 items will be divided into categories, fully meeting the demand for essential consumer goods from food, personal care products, and others in this handbook, allowing customers to shop and receive items at the comfort of their home.

The VinMart 4.0 virtual store and the smart shopping handbook are both the first of their kind in Vietnam, helping customers buy goods remotely without having to go to the supermarket. The applications were developed from the Scan & Go feature of the VinMart system which has been released in March 2019.

The Scan & Go remote shopping technology combines online and offline shopping, supporting customers anywhere, anytime.

With friendly shopping handbooks to suit the needs of customers, users can easily select the items they need and shop quickly. When scanning QR codes with the Scan & Go feature, customers can search product information, from price, brand, and origin to promotions throughout the system.

As a pioneer in bringing these modern shopping technologies to Vietnam, while at the same time fine-tuning them for domestic consumers, VinCommerce and VinID want to create a revolution in consumption retail in Vietnam, offering solutions to save time and add more utilities to customers.
