In 2030, Vietnam is forecast to generate 120 million tons of carbon emissions, of which rice cultivation accounts for half of the emissions. Loc Troi as well as farmers in the Mekong Delta have the role to take action because we know that we contribute greatly to Vietnam's greenhouse emissions, and we have the obligation to limit this.
Loc Troi is currently growing rice on 2 million ha and more than 1 million farming households are working in Loc Troi's agricultural management system. We have five business units including agricultural research institute, fertiliser, pesticide, and seed production facilities to supply for to farmers.
In addition to those are units providing agricultural services and crop care, a breed provider that supplies about 50 per cent of seeds to the Mekong Delta area, and a food manufacturing company that produces about 2 million tons of rice every year.
Loc Troi's goal is to create 10 million carbon certificates in the Mekong Delta.
Loc Troi has made a commitment to the Ministry of Agriculture to balance the three elements -- chemical, biological and organic -- in our crop care products. In addition, we plan to increase the production of circular products such as bioplastics produced from rice husks and sticky rice.
For green development, Loc Troi has achieved carbon criteria and commercialise it for the international market.
