J&T Express: the companion of Vietnamese agricultural products

J&T Express Hanoi branch helped the distribution and consumption of nearly two tonnes of Bac Giang lychee

Responding to the call of the General Department of Market Surveillance under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the northern branches of J&T Express have joined hands to support the consumption of lychee in Luc Ngan district, which is deemed as the lychee kingdom in Bac Giang province.

Accordingly, many tonnes of Bac Giang lychees were purchased by J&T Hanoi and Thai Nguyen branches in the course of two days to support farmers.

Besides purchasing, on June 16, shippers at J&T Express Bac Ninh and Bac Giang branches went to litchi gardens of farmers in Luc Ngan district to support farmers in harvesting and packing more than one tonne of lychee.

All fruits were quickly transported to more than 140 post offices and offices in neighbouring localities like Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, and Ninh Binh to serve the customers.

These lychees all reach Grade 1 quality and were strictly selected to meet export standards. In light of the programme to support the consumption of 3,000 tonnes of Bac Giang lychee, the General Department of Market Surveillance will deploy direct sales through the transport network, ensuring sufficient supply and safe transportation. Efforts are also taken to sell products at mobile selling points to areas far from urban centres or near densely populated areas and industrial parks.

In addition to supporting Bac Giang farmers to consume agricultural products, J&T Express also has many support activities to share difficulties with people's living in the pandemic epicentre. On June 21, J&T Express Nghe An branch teamed up with Vinh City Youth Union to visit and give presents to people living in quarantine areas. Thousands of gifts, food, and medical masks have been given to the disadvantaged, especially students in isolation areas.

J&T Express supported HBA in transporting relief packages for workers in isolation at Ho Chi Minh City-based industrial zones

In Ho Chi Minh City, which has been the epicentre of the outbreak in recent days, many factories were forced to close for isolation, putting thousands of workers in difficulties. With the desire to share the difficulties of workers, J&T Express has co-operated with the Hepza Business Association (HBA) to assist in transporting aid to affected areas.

Hundreds of thousands of gifts have been delivered to workers at different industrial zones in Ho Chi Minh City, like Tan Binh Industrial Park (IP) in Tan Phu district, Vinh Loc IP in Binh Chanh district, Tan Tao IP in Binh Tan district, or Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone in District 7.

In the past, J&T Express has deployed various support activities across the country, encouraging the Vietnamese business community to follow suit and join hands with society to win against the pandemic.
