Chairman of 36 Corporation honoured at Asia-Pacific Entrepreneur Award 2021

In his more than 50-year journey, he has gone from a soldier on an arduous battlefield to a fierce marketplace with a legal corridor of shortcomings and a tempting corporate environment.

Thanks to his strong courage, bravery, and wisdom, Giap has been publicly respected to be a leader of morality, vision, intelligence, and bravery, who has improved the brand of the 36 Corporation to become a leading reputable enterprise in construction.

With outstanding achievements throughout his career, Giap has been awarded many noble titles and awards by the Party and the state.

In 2010, he was the only individual in the country awarded the title of Hero of Labour. Most recently, he was honoured with the 3-year Asia-Pacific Entrepreneur Award by Enterprise Asia.

With the bravery of a soldier who gained a lot of battle experience and possesses the quality of keeping cool to cope with multiple unexpected changes, Giap has made the impossible possible.

In 2003, he was designated to be the director of 36 Corporation. Under his leadership, Giap developed a loss-making subsidiary into a corporation with a revenue of around 174 million and was awarded the title of Hero of Labour by the state of Vietnam in 2013.

Giap has transformed a small business of several dozen people, which nearly went bankrupt, into a corporation of more than 7,000 officers, employees, and workers, which now has 16 member subsidiaries and a branch in Laos.

The corporation began on the basis of almost nothing for facilities, but now owns a block of assets of trillions of VND with over 600 engines and modern equipment.

The corporation performed and changed from a business on the brink of bankruptcy into a business that has the potential and stature of a large construction corporation of the military. That is the Golden Epic, a miracle that Giap and the 36 Corporation have created.

Giap is always aware that a true businessman has to show his leadership skills in a fiercely competitive environment for his business to survive and thrive.

Therefore, he actively volunteered to equitise the corporation to publicise corporate health. Overcoming the remaining difficulties and shortcomings along with his high determination, Giap and the leaders of the 36 Corporation have successfully implemented the equitisation.

Under his leadership, the 36 Corporation will develop further and achieve greater heights in the integration period, continuing to assert its brand of sustainability.
