Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 to promote Vietnam tourism, investment

Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 contest was officially announced on March 23 at Cendelux Hotel at no. 2 Hai Duong street, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province.

The contest aims to honour the beauty of Southeast Asian women and is going to be a platform for exchange of culture, with the purpose to increase cooperation among countries in the bloc, promote trade, tourism, and introduce the sceneries of Phu Yen, Vietnam and other countries in ASEAN.

The programmes accompanying the contest are going to see the participation of experts and celebrities from countries in the bloc. Vietnamese artists that are going to be present are the music director-composer Huy Tuan, executive director Hoang Cong Cuong, director of contestant admission supermodel Ha Anh, director of the catwalk supermodel Hoang Yen, contestant management consultant Miss Southeast Asia Phan Hoang Thu, MC Vu Manh Cuong, and more.

The final round of the contest starts in June and includes community and charity activities, trips to explore the beauty of Phu Yen. The coronation night will be held at Sao Mai theatre in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen.

Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 holds a lot of political meaning in the context that ASEAN is celebrating 50 years of establishment. It is also a chance for Phu Yen to attract international tourists. We expect thousands of guests to be here for the event.

Hosting Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 is a honour and at the same time a challenge for Phu Yen due to our inadequate human resource and infrastructure. We got help from Ho Chi Minh City and other localities when preparing for the event. Through the event we want everyone to see the yet to be tapped potential of Phu Yen, and we will try our best to make up for the inadequacies and bring to tourists unforgettable memories about Phu Yen.

The Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 is organised by Gala Viet Event Organisation and Tourism JSC according to certificate No.779/ GP- BVHTTDL issued by The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
