How does the firm plan to invest in the facilities of the second office in Hanoi?

In the new facility, like every single office around the world, we demonstrate this primary belief. That’s why at every step we aim to maximise the investment into our offices. If you look at our first office in Lotte Centre Hanoi and this second one in TNR Tower, each venue has its own distinctive and appealing features that immensely benefit employees during their work and their relaxation time.

The second office was created with an open working space where the employees of Tek Experts are free to kick back and play Xbox 360 and enjoy a realistic software testing experience. How does the investment in the working space match the personality of Tek Experts?

First, about the open space, we believe in the importance of human interaction and are fundamentally against the idea of people working in a closed and stuffy indoor environment. The new working space allows people to work closely together as a team.

As a matter of fact, every time engineers sit down and discuss project-related matters, the group becomes this gargantuan collective of knowledge looking for the most fitting solution for a client’s challenge. This way, a client does not only get help from a single employee, regardless of how knowledgeable they might be , but from a whole group of experts. As a result, the joint knowledge area is genuinely crucial in raising the efficiency and expertise of the services we provide. This is part of our business culture called “People Together.”

Secondly, about the Xbox 360 gaming and testing area, we have been creating fans of our own services as we would like our employees to be sincerely interested and passionate about what they do daily. For instance, one of our products currently is Xbox. The way we see it, what better way to develop the full potential of a gaming product than to let the developers play the game themselves and experience first-hand what customers receive from Xbox. Also, if our employees spend their leisure time playing and testing products, they can have a lot of fun during working hours and better understand what the customers are looking for.

The launch of the second office is part of the firm’s expansion strategy. Has the first office met the firm’s objectives on business performance? What do you expect from the second office?

We’re extremely proud and content with our accomplishments so far in the capital city of Hanoi. We have provided consistently high service quality and our employees have shown great commitment to doing great things. This is mainly the reason behind our decision to open a second office in less than six months, within a radius of less than five kilometres in the same city. Our success at the first office has surpassed our original expectations and led us here, preparing for the 1000^th employee of Tek Experts by the end of 2018.

Industry 4.0 has become a major factor that any enterprise, IT-related or not, must cope with in the long run. Has Tek Experts prepared any specific plans to ride the wave of automation and data exchange in the IT industry?

Since Industry 4.0 revolves around the manufacturing segment of the IT industry, there is no significant impact on our business of outsourcing services. However, regarding the emerging automation trend, there will be a dramatic shift in the IT industry where a simple task which was previously done by agents will be carried out by Internet bots.

We are not a traditional outsourcing enterprise that solely toils away with simple tasks like resetting clients’ passwords. Specifically, the employees of Tek Experts will only concentrate on the very high-end technologies or intense interactions with customers involving challenging demands that require exceptional expertise.

In fact, we leverage the automation element of the Industry to improve our business performance and help our clients with developing automated solutions that have a positive impact on their business. So, we see it as an opportunity not a risk.

Tek Experts is about to launch Tek Academy to prepare local talents for the IT industry. What benefits could Tek Academy offer to motivate young talents to pursue a career in the IT industry?

Tek Academy is our specially-designed training academy where we pay for the tuition of attendees to support their aspiration of a career in IT. We take people with a strong background in English and soft skills, and who want a career in IT, and train them to be IT experts. Or we take IT experts that lack English and soft skills, and give them the training they need to improve significantly in both these areas. The Tek Academy is the perfect place for qualified software developers, for example, with a modest English proficiency, or for outstanding English language speakers with a great passion for the IT industry to improve their skills. The trainers of the academy are exclusively native English speakers from English language schools that have great compassion for helping our students and the IT community generally to be better at languages.
