Families of victims in the Indonesia Lion Air crash hit out at Boeing on Monday (May 6) over its admission that engineers had identified a safety system glitch well before the fatal accident, in the latest knock to the plane maker's reputation.

Boeing's MCAS anti-stall system, which was implicated in the October crash of a 737 MAX 8 airliner in Indonesia, was also activated shortly before a recent accident in Ethiopia, a source with knowledge of the investigation said on Friday (Mar 30).
