Liquidity of the southern stock market in April stood at the highest level from the outset of the year, with more than 14.51 billion stocks traded at a value of over 366.94 trillion VND, according to the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE).

The price of gold in Vietnam jumped to VND46.5 million a tael (1.2 ounces), the highest level since September 23, on November 8 as global price advanced $42 an ounce in the trading session in New York on concerns over Italy’s sovereign-debt uncertainties.
