Ho Chi Minh City is to develop in two main directions to facilitate better links with neighbouring provinces. The Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centre is trading its name. As part of its rebranding it is now known as the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) and is turning over a new leaf after seven years operating under government subsidies.

The Ho Chi Minh City bourse is stepping ahead with its continuous order matching programme after getting the all clear from the nation’s securities market watchdog. “The date has been fixed, which will be July 30 this year,” said Le Hai Tra, the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centre’s (HoSTC) deputy director.

A Singaporean firm is to build two new residential properties in Ho Chi Minh City over the next two years. Keppel Land, which successfully developed Royal Park Sedona Suites serviced apartments in Hanoi and Saigon Centre office building in Ho Chi Minh City, is to build a luxury villa complex and Vietnam’s first “health conscious” development, a combined residential/sport estate.
