Renewable energy sector charms German firms

Vietnam has extensive resources to develop renewable energy. It is estimated that the technical potential of wind power in the country is 27 gigawatts (GW). The technical potential for solar and biomass energy production is 300 GW and 10.3 GW, respectively. The Vietnamese government has also set ambitious targets to increase the share of these renewables in the national power generation mix from approximately 1.5 per cent at present to 7.5 per cent by 2030.
