Hanoi’s struggle to deal with garbage overload and sustainable solutions
All three of Hanoi’s currently operating waste treatment plants are bursting because of an overload with increased garbage. Meanwhile, waste-to-energy incineration treatment plants pose risks to the environment, health, and the economy. Therefore, Vietnam Zero Waste Alliance (VZWA) believes that the problem can be sustainably solved following the 7R Solution.
