The garment sector is most likely to achieve its yearly target of $13 billion in export this year, according to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association.

The association said its members have so far this year exported $10 billion worth of products and they are expected to ship aboard products valued at $3 billion in the remaining months of this year.

Apart from the EU, Japan, Russia and the Middle East, the US remains a key market for Vietnamese garment makers in the coming time, the association added.
