Becamex: leading the smart and green infrastructure development wave

From modern industrial parks and smart transportation to liveable urban areas, Binh Duong and Becamex are laying down the red carpet for investors to Vietnam – a land of unlimited potential.

For its relatively new brand in the tourism industry, Becamex Hospitality has made significant contributions to the development of Binh Duong as well as green and sustainable tourism in particular.

Highlights include the fresh green projects of Becamex Hotel New City and Becamex Thu Dau Mot Hotel, which belong to Becamex Hospitality Hotel Group.

The new hospitality brand in the tourism industry has also made significant contributions to the sustainable development of Binh Duong’s economy. The group has been a pioneer in applying green solutions.

Since 2018, the hotels use solar energy for their entire daytime hot water system, as well as to supply electricity to the apartment area, health club, and restaurant.

Green solutions are applied effectively at the hotels’ every single activity. The hotels have joined hands with Binh Duong to protect the environment, replaced plastic bags with environmentally friendly non-woven bags, which are fully biodegradable in just 90 days, switched to biodegradable laundry chemicals certified by Cencon Centro de Control in Mexico and equipped hotel facilities with LED lights.

The group offers to take visitors on a “green journey” with various activities awaiting guests during the weekends, including free yoga classes, free bicycle rental, a health club with a fully equipped gym, a range of state-of-the-art training equipment for a complete body workout with aerobic machines, weight training facilities, and personal training sessions.

As a result, Becamex Hotel New City was honoured as the Most Unique Architectural Design and The Most Conferences Hosted awards in 2018 by the Vietnam Tourism Association.

Destination for MICE

Chosen by businessmen as the ideal destination for accommodation and relaxation, Becamex Hospitality Hotel Group provides comfortable accommodation and exclusive food services for many international events such as the World Technopolis Association 2018 (WTA) summit, welcoming 800 local and international participants to Binh Duong.

In addition, the group welcomed 800 guests from leading international enterprises from over 60 countries to the Horasis Asia 2018, where leaders from domestic and foreign enterprises came together for a series of events and seminars on regional and global economic co-operation.

On November 24-26, the second Horasis hosted in Binh Duong will once give a push to economic development in the Industry 4.0 era, edging on the Binh Duong Smart City project.

Forming a Smart City

The Vietnamese industrial scene, buoyed by political stability, economic growth, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, has elevated Vietnam into the new production centre of Asia – and Becamex has been at the forefront of industrial infrastructure development and this rise for four decades now.

The Binh Duong Smart City project was developed on the basis of five breakthrough programmes initiated by Binh Duong Party Committee in the 2016-2020 period.
