These are all current hot topics of the global and Chinese plastics and rubber industries, according to Ada Leung, general manager of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. For example, circular economy is under the spotlight in many places of the world. China is also promoting the efficient recycling of plastics at the moment.
As demands for smart manufacturing and new materials are on the rise, Chinaplas is upgrading its platform to focus more on innovation and high technology.
“Chinaplas, which is now serving mainly China and the Asian markets, will focus more on innovative technologies and their applications,” said Ada Leung, adding the show has already been recognised as a technology-oriented platform for trade buyers who are looking for solutions to enhance products’ features, streamline manufacturing and supply-chain operations, and optimise energy efficiency.
The show will continue to address different market needs through exhibits, displays, thematic events, seminars and conferences, and “Tech Talks,” among others.
She also emphasised that sectorial promotion will be strengthened so as to penetrate deeper into various application sectors with growth potential, for instance medical, EV, and AI products.
Chinaplas will become the innovation hub for plastics-related industries in Asia and contribute more to the global plastics industry and its downstream industries, she said, adding that international visitors of Chinaplas are expected to increase continuously, especially those from Asian countries and emerging markets around the world.
There will be more than 3,800 machine exhibits and 1,000 material suppliers on stage at Chinaplas this year. As introduced, 140 technologies and products will be making their debuts in China, Asia or globally.
In order to increase the exhibition area and number of exhibits, the organiser sets up some new exhibition halls, including Film Technology Zone, Plastic Packaging Machinery Zone, Auxiliary and Testing Equipment Zone, Recycled Plastics Zone, Trade Services Zone located at Pearl Promenade, and an extra area for Extrusion Machinery Zone and Injection Molding Machinery Zone.
Chinaplas attracts exhibitors from around the world, offering a diverse mix of Chinese and overseas technology. Visitors representing every end market will find the show to be an excellent sourcing and networking platform, allowing them to find the manufacturing solutions they need. This year, the show is expected to have more than 250 buyer delegations from China and abroad, including Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Iran, and Chile, among others.
