At the Annual Scientific Conference of Hanoi Medical University Hospital, VNPAY has delved into various benefits of digital payments in the healthcare sector, such as diversifying payment methods, simplifying appointment bookings, optimizing expenses, and enhancing safety for clients.

According to Directive No. 22/CT-TTg on promoting the implementation of solutions to cashless payment development in Vietnam, the Prime Minister has requested the Ministry of Health to continue guiding hospitals to coordinate with credit organizations and payment intermediary providers to collect medical service fees via cashless payment options. However, there are still various obstacles to adopting cashless payments in hospitals due to the lack of personnel and facilities for these solutions.

Amid the pandemic, hospitals and medical facilities have been overloaded with appointments. Meanwhile, the online booking channels of hospitals have yet to meet the needs of clients.

The Annual Scientific Conference has welcomed the participation of 100 prestigious hospitals across the country to discuss the challenges facing the healthcare sector.
