The dual transition is a concept that describes the integration of digital transformation and the green transition, aimed at achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals for businesses, nations, and global society.
In a context where technology and environmental concerns are highly influential, this combination is seen as strategic priorities for Vietnam to meet the stringent demands of the modern market while ensuring long-term sustainability.
Supporting the government in this journey, the Vietnamese business community has made significant strides, implementing practical and effective measures across all sectors and industries.
This year’s sustainable development conference serves as a bridge connecting government agencies, domestic and international organisations, experts, businesses, and the wider community. It aims to share valuable real-world experiences in sustainable investment and business operations, inspiring innovation and creativity for greener and more sustainable growth in key sectors.
The first session, titled “Dual-Transition Motivators,” will highlight the benefits companies can achieve through the dual transition and emphasise the risks of falling behind if they are unprepared. It will also address the challenge of securing substantial capital.
The second session, “Taking the Lead,” will showcase stories from pioneering businesses at the forefront of innovation and green, sustainable initiatives. Companies will share their insights and solutions for optimising available resources, minimising costs, and accessing green credit effectively. These efforts aim to spread valuable lessons and inspire sustainable development within the community for a better Vietnam.
An honouring ceremony will also recognise and celebrate the contributions of agencies, organisations, associations, and both domestic and international businesses that have partnered VIR and played a vital role in advancing the sustainable development of the nation.
The conference will be held 8am-12pm on November 12 at the Pullman Hotel in Hanoi. It will be live-streamed on VIR's websites and social media platforms.
