Domestic gold price has hit a year high, exceeding VND48 million a tael, following global trend.

The price of gold in Vietnam rose VND500,000 per tael over the previous day on January 11 as global gold prices bounced back strongly last night. Gold was being purchased at VND35.67 million a tael and being sold at VND35.73 million at most shops at 9am local time.
