According to the National Institute of Nutrition, Vietnamese children are facing some critical nutrition threats: over 50 per cent of school age children have meal portions low in energy leading to stunted growth; in some big cities the rate of obesity is spiraling and reaches an alarming level of 10-15 per cent; and some 40-60 per cent of children are lacking important micro nutrients which help the kids reach optimal development both physically and spiritually.
