HSBC Vietnam wins best bank in Vietnam

HSBC Bank has been named Best Bank in Vietnam by The Asset Magazine in their Triple A Country Awards for 2010 for performance in banking and finance sectors within Asia.


This is the third consecutive year that the bank received the award. The Asset Magazine selected award winners according to their financial performance, size of operation, spread of business, investment banking performance, corporate and transaction banking performance, contribution to the domestic markets and client testimonials.     

“HSBC is very proud to be named Best Bank in Vietnam by the Asset Triple A Awards for our achievements from October 2009 to September 2010, representing recognition from independent industry leaders for our world-class products and services and ongoing commitment to excellence,” said Thomas Tobin, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Vietnam.  

Winning The Best Bank in Vietnam by The Asset Magazine is the latest in a long line of accolades for HSBC Vietnam in 2010. The bank was also awarded Best Foreign Bank in Vietnam by FinanceAsia for the fifth consecutive year; Best Consumer Internet Bank by Global Finance, Best Domestic Cash Management Bank by Euromoney, and Best Sub-custodian Bank by Global Finance.

After entering the Vietnam market in 1870, HSBC has become one of the leading foreign banks in the country in terms of investment capital, network, product range, staff and customer base. With 12 outlets nationwide, HSBC currently serves a large

and diverse customer base, comprising of individuals, corporations, institutional clients, and on-shore and off-shore investment funds.
