The results are based on a quantitative research of the largest scale over the past four years, which took feedback from 26,128 participants hailing from 24 industries and representing three generations: Baby boomers, Generation X and Y. This year, in particular, the survey includes in-depth interviews with 50 Human Resources (HR) managers, representing about 30,000 employees.
The award ceremony celebrates the 100 Vietnam Best Places to Work (VNBPTW) 2016, BPTW in 24 industries, and The Most Attractive Employer Brand, based on six groups of criteria. Because of the large interest from businesses and nominations by employees, this year’s survey has two new award categories: Exemplar Businesses with Happy Workforce and The Most Attractive Employer Brand for Gen Y. The ranking and evaluation processes have been worked out after consultation and being verified by market research firm Nielsen Vietnam.
Unilever continues to be employee’s favourite as the best place to work, for the fourth consecutive year. Based on industry category, awards have been given to Prudential Vietnam in the insurance industry, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam in automotive and auto parts, Abbott in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and health care, and Viettel in information technology and telecommunications.
Meanwhile, Vinamilk was once again selected as the Most Attractive Employer Brand for their benevolent salary, rewards, and benefits policies. Looking at culture and the environment, Intel Vietnam is the leading employer brand. Nestlé was chosen as the Most Attractive Employer Brand in both the Work-Life Balance and Organization Reputation brakets.
The results were based on objective assessment from young employees and internal survey results from companies that completed the Happy Workforce survey following the latest survey model from Anphabe. The event celebrates Exemplar Businesses with Happy Workforce with Novaland, KPMG, VP Bank, AIA Vietnam, and Nike Vietnam. The Most Attractive Employer Brands for Gen Y awards went to Unilever, Nestlé, Vinamilk, Viettel, and Suntory PepsiCo.
At the event, Anphabe also shared with the HR community additional good news. From 2017, Unilever will officially become a knowledge partner in order to share new knowledge and methods from world-class HR gurus, including Unilever’s international experience in building a happy workforce. In this new role, from the next survey onward, Unilever will pass on the chance to be nominated for the Vietnam Best Places To Work to focus on providing guidance and specialised support for the survey.
After the event, Anphabe will continue to provide more diverse reports based on the specific requirements of businesses to better support strategies for Employer Brand and Happy Workforce and become the best place to work in Vietnam.
