The Vietnam HR Awards 2014 is the first HR award in Vietnam recognising and honouring businesses with excellent HR policies, promoting effective HR strategies as well as creating a useful playground to learn and share HR policies or practices, in order to contribute to the development of enterprises and employees.
The Vietnam HR Awards 2014 was officially launched nationwide in August this year, under the endorsement of the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs. It is organised by HR consulting firm Talentnet, with the exclusive professional methodology from the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) – the largest non-profit HR organisation in Singapore with 48 years of HR experience.
Established in March 2004, MobileWorld is currently operating 300 retail outlets nationwide and employing 9,000 workers. During the last few months, the company opened a new outlet on every two days and it employed on average 400 new workers for its outlets. The company’s reports show that MobileWorld has a dominated 26.3 per cent of the domestic mobile phone retail market and it plans to reach 45 per cent of the market share in the next two or three years.
MobileWorld is among five Vietnamese enterprises which were announced in the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) top 20 of the most dynamic and high-growth companies in East Asia in Manila in May this year. The WEF’s selected top Global Growth Companies (GGCs) are considered trailblazers, shapers and innovators committed to improving the state of their region and the world.
The 20 nominated East Asian GGCs represent a broad cross section of the industrial sectors, but share in common a track record in exceeding industry standards in revenue growth, promotion of innovative business practices and demonstration of leadership in corporate citizenship.
