Masan Group launches 750 million unsecured syndicated loan

Masan Group has launched a 750 million syndicated loan facility the largest international corporate borrowing of its tenor for a Vietnamese privately owned enterprise

The announcement was made on June 8. The senior unsecured facility is also the most competitively priced for a privately owned enterprise (POE) of this tenor, marking a major milestone for Masan and Vietnam's broader capital market.

"When 15 international banks lend to Masan unsecured at 1.8 per cent – down from 3.5 per cent secured three years ago – they are pricing the durability of our future cash flows," said Danny Le, CEO of Masan Group. "Those cash flows compound across our Consumer Operating System: WinCommerce as the retail engine, and our brand engine – Masan Consumer and Masan MEATLife – converting that reach into a growing share of the daily wallet. Rising tungsten value and criticality add further optionality. Our credit has been re-rated – and our equity value will follow."

With this transaction, Masan has achieved the tightest pricing across its syndicated financing, reducing the margin by 170 basis points from 3.5 per cent in 2023 to 1.8 per cent in 2026. The transaction also represents Masan's inaugural six-year tenor syndicated loan, extending its US dollar debt maturity profile from three to four years in 2023 – an unprecedented achievement for any Vietnamese privately owned enterprise.

This marks Masan's transition from secured to senior unsecured funding, reinforcing lender confidence in its business performance, cash flow visibility, and balance sheet discipline. Commitment from 15 international banks was secured ahead of formal syndication, with the book 1.7 times oversubscribed. The $750 million facility is the largest syndicated loan raised by a Vietnamese privately owned enterprise, surpassing Masan's previous record of $650 million in 2023.

The facility allocates approximately $490 million for refinancing existing obligations and $260 million as reserved capacity for strategic flexibility. The refinancing extends Masan's US dollar debt maturity profile from the previous three- to four-year period, reducing near-term refinancing pressure and reinforcing the group's access to long-term international capital. It is expected to generate approximately $4.4 million in annual interest savings compared with existing facility pricing.

In volatile markets, liquidity provides strategic flexibility. The reserved capacity allows Masan to preserve optionality while remaining committed to its medium-term deleveraging objective. This is supported by clear progress in its net debt-to-earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) ratio, which improved from a peak of 3.9 times at end-2023 to 2.84 times as of the first quarter of 2026, as well as EBITDA momentum across the consumer-retail platform, internal cash generation from Masan High-Tech Materials, and potential proceeds from anticipated share sell-downs.

Masan delivers record Q1 profit
Masan Group Corporation on May 4 released its unaudited management accounts for the first quarter of 2026, registering strong growth.

WinMart+ chain accelerates expansion into rural areas
The WinMart/WinMart+ retail chain recorded 2025 revenues exceeding forecasts while accelerating its network expansion into rural areas.

MSR shares woo investors ahead of HSX listing
Masan Group Corporation on May 13 announced the successful sale of nearly 22 million shares in its subsidiary Masan High-Tech Materials.

ACE Robotics open sources Kairos HomeWorld for interactive whole home 3D generation

ACE Robotics has open sourced Kairos HomeWorld described as the first unified framework capable of generating a complete fully interactive home environment from a single text prompt built for embodied intelligence applications

SHANGHAI, CHINA - Media OutReach Newswire - 5 June 2026 - ACE ROBOTICS, in collaboration with the Multimedia Laboratory at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Shenzhen Loop Area Institute, today announced the open-source release of Kairos-HomeWorld, the industry's first unified World Model framework capable of generating full home-scale, object-level interactive 3D environments from a single text prompt. The solution addresses longstanding limitations in indoor scene generation, which has typically been restricted to single-room outputs with weak global consistency and limited interactivity. Kairos-HomeWorld overcomes these constraints by delivering structurally coherent, physically plausible, and functionally complete residential environments. These high-fidelity, large-scale simulations provide a robust foundation for advancing embodied intelligence applications and accelerating real-world robot training.

The long-term vision for embodied intelligence is the home environment. However, residential settings are inherently diverse and highly personalized, requiring robots to be trained across a broad range of realistic and differentiated scenarios before they can reliably operate in even a single household. High-fidelity simulation offers the most practical pathway to achieving this at scale, yet existing approaches typically involve a trade-off: synthetic environments lack realism, while scanned real-world scenes offer limited interactivity. Kairos-HomeWorld, together with its accompanying dataset, is designed to bridge this gap, delivering both realistic and interactive environments within a unified framework.

A four-stage architecture for whole-home, object-level generation

Conventional approaches to indoor scene generation remain constrained to single-room outputs, often exhibiting weak global consistency, frequent physical inaccuracies, and limited or no interactivity. Kairos-HomeWorld takes a fundamentally different approach. It decomposes whole-home generation into a structured, four-stage process, redefining the underlying architectural paradigm from the ground up.

Stage 1 — Floor Plan Generation. A K-D tree-based approach translates real-world floor plans into a hierarchical text representation that can be efficiently processed by large language models (LLMs). This method mitigates common issues in conventional layout generation, including room overlaps and fragmented topologies, resulting in more coherent and structurally consistent spatial configurations.

Stage 2 — 2D-to-3D Lifting & Furniture Layout Generation. A "top-down global initialization combined with a first-person detail walkthrough" approach anchors the process to the 3D building shell generated in Stage 1. This methodology mitigates the geometric drift commonly associated with conventional 2D-to-3D lifting techniques, enabling more stable and spatially consistent scene generation.

Stage 3 — Recursive Refinement. A fine-tuned vision-language model performs iterative validation and correction, automatically identifying and resolving physical inconsistencies, such as obstructed doorways or object collisions. This recursive process materially reduces spatial errors, achieving among the lowest reported furniture-collision rates in the industry.

Stage 4 — Manipulable Object Placement. A surface-centric placement algorithm assigns each object detailed physical properties, including material composition, density, friction, and structural support relationships. Each generated scene incorporates an average of more than 15 manipulable objects and achieves a Footprint Object Density (FOD) of 4.16, a metric reflecting the concentration of items across furniture surfaces. All objects are natively compatible with simulation engines, enabling direct interaction for tasks such as grasping, movement, and stacking.

The resulting environments move beyond "viewable but not actionable" outputs. Their coherent spatial structure enables seamless, continuous navigation across multiple rooms, while objects embedded with realistic physical properties allow robots to simulate complex household tasks end-to-end. Taken together, this approach addresses key limitations in existing data pipelines, resolving the scarcity of high-quality 3D simulation data, the lack of realism in synthetic environments, and the limited interactivity of scanned scenes within a single unified framework.

The dataset: 300,000 real floor plans, 5,000 fully interactive homes, built for Chinese households

ACE ROBOTICS and CUHK are open-sourcing a dataset of 300,000 structurally annotated residential floor plans, sourced from real-world listings and processed through a multi-stage automated pipeline. The pipeline vectorizes and labels key spatial elements, including door and window positions, room geometry, functional zoning, and connectivity. By comparison, widely used benchmarks such as RPLAN and ResPlan contain approximately 80,000 and 17,000 floor plans, respectively, underscoring the scale and comprehensiveness of the Kairos-HomeWorld dataset.

Building on this foundation, the dataset also includes 5,000 fully furnished residential environments, each featuring a complete furniture layout and an average of more than 15 physics-enabled, manipulable objects, powered by the PhysX-Omni model. All assets are sim-ready and can be directly imported into a simulation engine, enabling immediate use in interactive training scenarios.

Most existing open indoor-scene datasets are centered on North American and European residential formats, typically featuring open-plan kitchens, the absence of service balconies, and layouts and design elements that capture only a narrow segment of global housing. As a result, robots trained on these datasets often exhibit limited transferability when deployed in environments outside their scope. Kairos-HomeWorld 's dataset is purpose-built for Chinese households, with deliberate coverage of historically under-represented housing typologies. It spans a wide range of unit sizes, from approximately 30 m² (around 320 sq ft) studio apartments to residences exceeding 200 m² (approximately 2,150 sq ft). The dataset accurately reflects key architectural features common in these settings, including north-south cross-ventilated layouts, enclosed kitchens, dedicated service balconies, wet-and-dry-separated bathrooms, and entryway storage, as well as the irregular room configurations often found in older housing stock.

The dataset is being openly released to both academic and industry communities. Going forward, the team plans to expand its scope to include additional regions, interior styles, and interaction scenarios, further lowering barriers to real-world-ready training for embodied intelligence.

See it in action: one prompt to a fully interactive home
Kairos-HomeWorld runs the full end-to-end pipeline, from initial text input to a fully interactive home environment, delivering global spatial consistency, physical realism, and seamless interactivity from a single prompt.

The system begins with a single-line prompt: "Generate a 90 m² (approximately 970 sq ft) two-bedroom apartment in neo-Chinese style." Leveraging real floor plan data and its K-D tree representation, Kairos-HomeWorld first constructs an empty spatial layout aligned with real-world living patterns, incorporating cross-ventilation and well-defined functional zoning. Building on this foundation, a hierarchical "global layout plus first-person detail" approach furnishes the environment with stylistic coherence, while a PhysX-Omni rendering pass assigns full physical properties to all surfaces and objects, including articulated behavior, ensuring the scene is fully interactive and sim-ready.

A single natural-language instruction, "tidy the whole home", is decomposed by the robot into a variety of discrete sub-tasks, executed sequentially along a complete navigation path spanning the living room, bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and dining area. The robot recognizes objects, plans efficient routes, and performs precise manipulation tasks, including articulated-object interactions for opening refrigerator and cabinet doors, fluid interactions for pouring laundry detergent, soft-body interactions for drawing curtains, irregular-object interactions for grasping apples, and gravity-based physical interactions for placing snacks.

Conventional simulation environments typically support navigation-focused training in isolation. By contrast, Kairos-HomeWorld integrates globally consistent spatial structures with objects that embody realistic physical properties. This enables robots to interact naturally with more than 15 object types, accurately modeling real-world dynamics such as collision, gravity, and friction, and to rehearse the full lifecycle of complex household tasks entirely within a virtual environment.

Across the industry, the same structural bottleneck, the scarcity of home-scale training data, is being addressed through multiple approaches. For example, Figure AI's collaboration with Brookfield focuses on collecting human activity data across more than 100,000 residential units. Kairos-HomeWorld addresses this challenge through on-demand synthetic generation, delivering scalable training environments enhanced with object-level physical realism, capabilities that real-world data capture alone cannot fully provide.

In contrast, Kairos-HomeWorld delivers significantly lower costs and higher efficiency for household robot training. Powered by its world model, it can programmatically generate diverse Chinese home simulation scenes and physics-enabled interactive objects at scale.

Robots can complete a full range of household tasks training entirely within the virtual environment. New scene generation incurs near-zero marginal cost, eliminating substantial real-world testing expenses such as site operation and maintenance and furniture damage. Meanwhile, unconstrained by the limited stock of physical residential properties, it outperforms real-world data collection approaches in both training efficiency and scalable expansion.

Kairos-HomeWorld is already deployed in ACE ROBOTICS' embodied intelligence training workflows, enabling full-pipeline simulation of long-horizon household tasks, including cross-room navigation and multi-room tidying. By allowing robots to rehearse complete task sequences in a virtual environment, the platform significantly shortens the simulation-to-reality transfer cycle. This approach lowers barriers to developing embodied intelligence systems and supports the accelerated, large-scale deployment of home robotics, particularly within the Chinese market. Kairos-HomeWorld is now available on GitHub.

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement.

Vietnam reaches double digit Michelin stars for first time with 11 starred restaurants

span style font size 14pt The Michelin Guide 2026 ceremony for Hanoi Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang has awarded stars to 11 restaurants marking the first time Vietnam s starred restaurant count has reached double digits span

HANOI, VIETNAM - Media OutReach Newswire - 5 June 2026 - Michelin officially unveiled the 2026 restaurant selection of the MICHELIN Guide Hanoi | Ho Chi Minh City | Da Nang at The Ascott Tay Ho Hanoi on June 4, 2026. Now in its fourth edition, this year's selection also celebrates at a moment of exceptional significance.

The MICHELIN Guide awarded its first restaurant Stars in 1926 - one that would go on to shape the way the world eats, travels and celebrates excellence at the table. Over the decades, that legacy has travelled far and discovered new gastronomic experiences, expanding the boundaries of what excellent dining can mean. The ceremony in Vietnam today joins the celebration of this milestone, marking the 100th year since the first Star was awarded.

The newly released restaurant selection showcases 193 establishments, featuring 11 One MICHELIN Star (2 new), 72 Bib Gourmand (11 new), 110 MICHELIN Selected (9 New), alongside 3 restaurants in the MICHELIN Green Star community (1 new). New additions include 7 from Hanoi (1 One MICHELIN Star, 3 Bib Gourmand, 3 MICHELIN Selected), 11 from Ho Chi Minh City (1 One MICHELIN Star, 5 Bib Gourmand, 5 MICHELIN Selected) and 4 from Da Nang (3 Bib Gourmand and 1 MICHELIN Selected). One Ho Chi Minh City restaurant newly joins the MICHELIN Green Star community for its inspiring commitment to zero-waste philosophy and plant-based gastronomy.

Most significantly, this marks the first time in the Guide's four-year history in Vietnam that the number of Starred restaurants has reached double digits: a clear sign that Vietnam's culinary world is entering a new level of excellence. Behind that achievement is a generation of culinary talent whose ambition and identity have never been more sharply defined.

"In four years, we have watched Vietnam grow from an exciting discovery into a clear and confident culinary destination. What excites us most this year is the talent and passion behind each restaurant. A new generation of Vietnamese chefs is leading the way, with young cooks who have trained abroad and come home to cook food that is unmistakably their own: rooted in local ingredients, local memories and local pride. That is exactly what the MICHELIN Guide has always sought to honor," said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide. "As we mark a century of the Star, Vietnam reminds us that local gastronomic stories are still being written, and that some of the most exciting chapters are unfolding right here."

One MICHELIN Star: A New Chapter for Vietnamese Fine Dining

11 restaurants are awarded One MICHELIN Star this year, marking the first time the total has surpassed single-digit since the MICHELIN Guide arrived in Vietnam. Two newcomers bring a perspective that adds new depth to Vietnam's Starred dining scene:

ONVIT (Hanoi): The first Korean restaurant in Vietnam awarded One MICHELIN Star, showcasing an upscale Korean–Vietnamese tasting menu in a tranquil setting where fresh local ingredients meet the traditions of Chef Joon Huk Chi's Korean heritage.

Upstairs (Ho Chi Minh City): An intimate four-table spot above a wine bar, offering Chef Hiệp Trương's modern Vietnamese tasting menu rooted in Central traditions.

These two newly awarded restaurants join retaining One MICHEIN Star recipients: Gia, Hibana by Koki, Tầm Vị (Hanoi); Long Trieu, Ănăn Saigon, Akuna, CieL, CoCo Dining (Ho Chi Minh City); and La Maison 1888 (Da Nang).

Tales by Chapter Joins the MICHELIN Green Star Community

The MICHELIN Green Star editorially highlights restaurants that, among the MICHELIN Guide selection, have inspired and impressed Inspectors with their committed vision for the future of gastronomy.

This year, Tales by Chapter (Ho Chi Minh City) is the newest restaurant to join the MICHELIN Green Star community recognized for its rigorous zero-waste philosophy and its seasonal, plant-based menu sourced from a partner eco-farm in Da Lat[PS1] and the restaurant's own rooftop garden. The kitchen transforms trimmings through creative fermentation into mushroom garum and corn koji, while organic by-products are composted back into the soil. Guests are invited into this closed-loop system through interactive installations and a seed-matching game, making the connection between dining and environment impossible to ignore.

Bib Gourmand: 72 Establishments Celebrating the Rich Diversity of Vietnamese Cuisine

The 2026 Bib Gourmand list grows to 72 establishments, with 11 new entries showcasing establishments that our Inspectors consider good quality cooking for good value. The New Bib Gourmand entries include:

In Hanoi

Bánh Cuốn Gia Truyền Thanh Vân (Hang Ga Street): Open since 1973 in the heart of the Old Quarter, this family-run spot specialises in bánh cuốn, keeping alive a craft passed down through generations. Everything is made from scratch using traditional methods, resulting in rice rolls that are thin, delicate and soft. The family-recipe dipping sauce strikes a pleasing balance of salty, sweet and sour flavors. Fillings include pork, shrimp and chicken, with extra toppings available.

Mammom: This kitchen pays homage to the traditional home cooking of Vietnamese mothers. The chef brings a decade of experience to bear in a repertoire of nearly 100 dishes covering southern, central and northern specialities, each gently cooked with authentic seasonings that preserves their rustic character. A standout is the clam broth, brightened with tomato and pineapple, and the clams are deliciously tender, with sweet and sour flavors expertly balanced.

Phở Hà Hàng Hòm: A no-frills phở gà spot on Hang Hom Street, this eatery has earned loyal fans with its rich, satisfying bowls. Native fowl is gently simmered to retain a chewy tenderness, and paired with rice noodles, herbs and steaming hot broth. Xôi gà – sticky rice with chicken and extras like egg or gizzards – is also popular and often sells out early.

In Ho Chi Minh City

Bánh Canh Cua Bà Ba: Tucked away down an alley, this compact shop with indoor and outdoor seating is a local favorite. The menu focuses on a single dish: bánh canh cua, a vivid orange crab rice noodle soup – in a smaller bowl for one or claypot for sharing. With a zesty green chilli-lime sauce on the side, the silky broth is generously filled with fish cakes, crab leg meat and egg ribbons.

Bánh Cuốn Tây Hồ 127: This once-humble hawker is now an iconic two-storey shop known for its delicate rice paper rolls. Made to order beside the open kitchen, they boast balanced, traditional flavors, such as pork and jicama, and vegetarian options.

Bún Riêu Yến: Set on a bustling street corner, the star of this modest eatery is bún riêu: rice noodles (thin, thick or flat) in a tomato and crab broth. The mildly spicy, naturally sweet broth has good depth and pairs well with generous toppings of fresh whelk meat and minced pork that soaks up the broth.

Chị Mơ: Phở is the highlight of this restaurant: with a choice of three full-bodied broths, it is made with fresh bones and simmered for 24 hours. Grilled bagrid catfish with crispy rice crackers and umami shrimp paste brings balance, complexity and smoky, textured depth.

La Lola: With its bold burnt-orange façade and playful interior of tiled floors and velvet chairs, this vibrant spot delivers Mediterranean charm with a youthful twist. Chef Julio Gomez puts a local twist on classic flavors, in dishes such as gambas al ajillo – plump Vietnamese prawns in aromatic chilli-garlic oil – and a tender and well-seared Ibérico pork steak.

In Da Nang

Bà Vui: This enduring local favorite keeps a tight focus, serving just two items: bún gà and xôi gà. The deeply flavored clear chicken broth is lifted by light, refreshing acidity and a subtle touch of black pepper. Served warm, the sticky rice is topped with a mix of tender pulled chicken, pickled onions and a generous handful of fried shallots – and portion sizes are hearty and satisfying.

Bánh Bèo - Bánh Đập: This humble shop focuses on just two affordable dishes: bánh bèo and bánh đập. The steamed rice cakes arrive in sets of five, the tender bases topped with a rich pork and wood ear sauce, finished with shallots and peanuts. Made to order, the subtly tangy bánh đập pairs crisp rice crackers with a soft rice wrapper; the accompanying sauce strikes a balance of sweet, salty and fermented notes.

Lê Gia Khang (Ngũ Hành Sơn): This shop specialising in Huế-style bún bò makes its robust, savory broth fresh every day. Pick from four toppings including the signature xí quách: the large L-shaped beef bone lends deep flavor and a wealth of textures – meat, cartilage and fatty edges.

MICHELIN Selected: From Street Food to Fine Dining, 110 Establishments Worth Knowing

In addition to Starred and Bib Gourmand restaurants, the MICHELIN Guide Inspectors recommend eateries whose high-quality cuisine simply won them over. This year's selection of 110 establishments with 9 new additions spans the full spectrum of Vietnam's dining landscape. Whether a decades-old local favorite or a newly opened international table, each has earned its place through one shared quality: food worth seeking out.

In Hanoi

MÀU: Tucked beneath the trees of a historic Hanoi street corner, this gastro wine bar offers à la carte dishes and a chef's menu, where the food sees modern style balanced with Asian flavors, including subtle Vietnamese notes.

Phở Gà Huyền Hương: The concise menu focuses on deeply satisfying bowls of phở. The chicken broth is rich and hearty, offering depth. A beef option provides an equally robust alternative.

ZAO: This lively, laid-back restaurant combines global flair and Vietnamese roots, as the Hanoi-born chef is a returnee from a career abroad. Dishes such as tomato bingsu – heirloom cherry tomatoes, buffalo cheese and lime-basil granita – set the tone, alongside razor clam pâté or salmon with baby sprouts for a zingy, refreshing start.

In Ho Chi Minh City

Apero: Opened in 2022, the open kitchen turns out unpretentious Italian fare, with pasta as a highlight. Try the rich and creamy carbonara with crispy bacon and parmesan, and save room for the house-made tiramisu.

NÔM: Nôm's tasting menu unfolds as a thoughtful journey through Vietnam's culinary heritage, moving from the north to central regions, ending with a southern-inspired dessert. Familiar dishes are reworked with finesse – think elegant, complex Huế-style beef noodle soup, or rich fish soup lifted by herb oil and caviar. Each floor reflects a different part of Vietnam, just like the menu.

Quán ăn Ngự Bình: Opened decades ago, this modest spot serving Huế comfort food in a casual, welcoming setting has a loyal following. The bún bò Huế features tender beef in a light and soothing soup; bánh bèo and nem nướng are ordered by nearly every table.

Sono: Opened in 2022, Chef Kiên Phan blends traditional and modern, crafting dishes that reflect a deep respect for Vietnamese culture. The à la carte menu revolves around the grill, and each tasting menu has its own theme.

Tales by Chapter: Vietnam's first zero-waste, plant-based fine dining concept, this serene villa setting serves seasonal tasting menus based on local produce, rooftop-grown herbs and fermentation. Diners can see dishes being crafted at the chef's counter, such as corn pie tee – crisp cups of soy-corn purée, charred kernels, kimchi and fermented chili – and chewy porcini-filled rice dumpling cake in a reimagined bánh bột lọc.

In Da Nang:

Dì Hoa (Hòa Cường): Run by a husband-and-wife team for over 30 years, Dì Hoa serves Da Nang-style rice paper snacks – khô and ướt – with various toppings. Their khô trứng, often described as "Vietnamese pizza", is a standout: thin yellow rice paper with quail eggs, pâté, pork floss and shallots is grilled until crisp.

MICHELIN Guide Special Awards

The MICHELIN Guide Special Awards recognize the individuals whose passion and professionalism elevate the entire dining experience. This year's recipients reflect a broader shift the Inspectors have witnessed across Vietnam: a new generation of hospitality professionals is rising - in the kitchen, on the floor, and behind the wine list - combining international standards with a deeply personal connection to Vietnamese culture.

The MICHELIN Guide Opening of the Year Award

New to the 2026 edition, the MICHELIN Guide Opening of the Year Award is given to individuals and teams for the successful opening of a dining venue over the past 12 months, with a creative degustation concept and a cuisine approach which has had an impact on the local gastronomic scene. This year's award is presented to Chef Chris Fong of NÔM in Ho Chi Minh City. Derived from ancient Vietnamese script, NÔM seamlessly blends Vietnam's history and culture through innovative culinary classics and "mini-museums" of traditional crafts, offering an immersive journey across the nation's rich gastronomic heritage.

The MICHELIN Guide Young Chef Award

The MICHELIN Guide Sommelier Award

The MICHELIN Guide Service Award

The MICHELIN Guide Hanoi | Ho Chi Minh City | Da Nang 2026 at a glance:

11 One MICHELIN Star (2 new) 72 Bib Gourmand (11 new) 3 MICHELIN Green Star (1 new) 110 MICHELIN Selected (9 new)
To receive the latest news and updates all year round, visit the MICHELIN Guide website, or download the free app for iOS and Android.

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement.

BLACKYAK hosts Namche Summit to advance Himalayan climate action and global solidarity

BLACKYAK has hosted the Himalayan Climate Charter 2026 Namche Summit to highlight the climate crisis facing the Himalayas and underscore the need for international solidarity and collective climate action

NAMCHE BAZAAR, Nepal, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Global outdoor brand BLACKYAK, which has deep roots in the Himalayas, convened a meaningful gathering in Namche Bazaar, Nepal, widely known as the gateway to Mount Everest and home to many Sherpas. The summit was held to raise awareness of the escalating climate crisis facing the Himalayas and discuss practical measures for preserving a sustainable mountain environment.

BYN BLACKYAK Group, led by Chairman Kang Tae Sun, announced on June 8 that it held the "Himalayan Climate Charter 2026: Namche Summit" on June 1 local time in Namche, Nepal. The event was co-hosted with the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee, the Nepal Mountaineering Association, and the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality.

Launched by BLACKYAK in Kathmandu in 2025, the Himalayan Climate Charter is the world's first mountain-centered climate action initiative rooted in the belief that the Himalayas should not simply be viewed as a destination for mountaineering, but as the frontline of the global climate crisis and a natural heritage that must be protected by the international community. The initiative aims to strengthen global solidarity and encourage concrete action to preserve mountain ecosystems.

The Himalayas continue to face mounting ecological threats caused by global warming, including declining snowfall, flooding of farmland, and waste left behind by climbers. These challenges have made mountain conservation efforts increasingly urgent. In response, BLACKYAK introduced the Himalayan Climate Charter last year, outlining key commitments such as calling for global climate action, carrying out clean-up activities in the Himalayas, strengthening technology- and community-based cooperation, ensuring transparent disclosure of environmental information, amplifying voices from the frontlines of the climate crisis, and expanding global partnerships and solidarity. Participating companies and institutions also joined as co-signatories to the declaration.

This year's summit served as an opportunity to reaffirm the core values and significance of the Himalayan Climate Charter while discussing concrete ways to put those principles into practice. By moving the event from Kathmandu to Namche, located at an altitude of 3,440 meters, participants underscored their commitment to experiencing the realities of the climate crisis firsthand and turning awareness into action.

Moving beyond declaration-focused initiatives, BLACKYAK plans to launch action-oriented projects beginning next year, with a focus on clean-up and restoration activities carried out in the Himalayas. To support these efforts, the company will further strengthen collaboration with local organizations and communities while continuing more direct and sustainable efforts aimed at preserving the Himalayan ecosystem.

Chairman Kang Tae Sun of BLACKYAK stated, "The village of Thame, which suffered severe damage from a glacial lake outburst flood in 2024, clearly shows that the climate crisis in the Himalayas is already threatening people's lives. We can no longer view the Himalayan climate crisis as a distant issue. It is a shared challenge that requires all of us to think together and act together."

He added, "BLACKYAK will move beyond discussion and declarations to expand practical support and solidarity that can drive real change on the ground in the Himalayas."

BLACKYAK also recently published its first sustainability report since its founding, titled the "BYN BLACKYAK Responsibility Report 2025". The report highlights a wide range of initiatives aimed at protecting mountains and nature, including the Himalayan Climate Charter, sponsorship of the Icefall Doctors, and environmental clean-up trekking campaigns. It also showcases activities led by the BLACKYAK Alpine Club (BAC) that have contributed to popularizing outdoor culture and promoting a more mature hiking culture.

In addition, the report introduces the company's efforts toward high-performance technological innovation through global R&D capabilities, the development of sustainable products based on resource circulation principles, and its circular economy model that creates environmental value across the entire product lifecycle, from production to disposal.

Through this report, BLACKYAK expresses its brand philosophy and sense of responsibility, grounded in the belief that nature is a precious legacy that must be preserved for future generations.

Delayed childbearing and infertility drive rising demand for cross border fertility care

A new report highlights how regulation cost and access are shaping international family choices with Asian case studies illustrating the growing demand for cross border fertility care driven by delayed childbearing and rising infertility rates

TAIPEI, June 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Delayed marriage, postponed childbearing, and infertility continue to draw global attention as more individuals and couples seek reproductive care beyond their home countries. As the average age of parenthood rises, differences in regulations, treatment costs, and access across markets have made cross-border fertility care a highly specialized segment of the international medical landscape.

According to data from more than 2,300 cross-border patient families treated at TFC Taipei Fertility Center, patients aged 35 to 40 represent the largest group, while those over 40 account for nearly 30%, underscoring advanced maternal age and delayed parenthood as major drivers of fertility travel.

For couples facing fertility challenges, selecting a treatment destination involves more than success rates. Clinical experience, laboratory quality, regulatory conditions, pricing transparency, language support, treatment scheduling, and follow-up care all play a role in decision-making.

Taiwan has emerged as a preferred destination for fertility patients from Asia, Europe, and North America, supported by a mature regulatory framework, extensive clinical expertise, high medical standards, and comparatively affordable costs. As a result, the number of international patients seeking fertility care in Taiwan continues to increase each year.

Since its founding in 2020, TFC has supported families from five continents and more than 50 countries and regions. IVF remains the most common treatment, followed by egg freezing, intrauterine insemination, and egg donation. Patients from Japan and France are often affected by domestic regulatory restrictions and advanced maternal age, while patients from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Macau often value cost-effectiveness and efficient treatment planning. Patients from the U.S., U.K., and South Korea frequently seek care for repeated implantation failure or diminished ovarian reserve.

Dr. Chii-Ruey Tzeng, founder of Taipei Fertility Center, said Taiwan's reproductive medicine expertise, combined with support that helps international patients overcome language and system barriers, enables comprehensive evaluation, personalized treatment, and ongoing follow-up within a limited stay.

By integrating AI-based assessment with precision medicine, TFC has established a one-stop patient management model that includes remote consultation, treatment planning, multilingual communication, and post-treatment follow-up.

Finnate listed on MAS Pathfinder Programme after independent review and verification

Finnate has been listed on the PathFin ai Knowledge Hub under Singapore s MAS Pathfinder Programme following an independent review and verification process reflecting its governance focused design and deployment maturity in regulated financial services

MELBOURNE, Australia, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Centelon announced that Finnate, its enterprise automation platform for financial services, has been officially listed on the PathFin.ai Knowledge Hub — the primary AI solution registry under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Pathfinder Programme. The listing follows a structured independent review and verification process assessing Finnate's submitted materials, technical capabilities, and real-world deployment performance in regulated financial environments.

The MAS Pathfinder Programme is designed to accelerate safe and responsible AI adoption across financial institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. Inclusion in the PathFin.ai registry requires vendors to pass a multi-stage vetting process encompassing technical architecture reviews, production case study analysis, and direct verification with existing enterprise clients.

What the Review Examined

The review focused on three operational domains where AI-driven automation carries high regulatory risk:

Lending and credit decisioning — underwriting velocity, risk transparency, and deterministic audit trail integrity for regulatory reporting

Digital customer onboarding — end-to-end compliance across identity verification, KYC, and secure data handling

Document intelligence and workflow automation — extraction, validation, and transformation of unstructured data into governed back-office workflows

Across all three domains, Finnate demonstrated the ability to reduce manual back-office overhead by up to 70% while maintaining full audit traceability — a key requirement for institutions operating under APRA, RBNZ, and equivalent Pacific and Southeast Asian regulatory frameworks.

Why This Listing Matters for Financial Institutions

For compliance officers and technology leaders evaluating AI vendors, PathFin.ai registry status provides a reference point for independent third-party review rather than solely self-reported capability claims. Financial institutions operating in ANZ, Pacific Island markets, and Southeast Asia can reference the listing when conducting internal AI governance due diligence on Centelon's platform.

The Pathfinder Programme review process also considered Finnate's architectural approach to Responsible AI — specifically its use of deterministic processing logic alongside generative AI models to ensure predictable, auditable outputs in regulated workflows.

"For C-suite executives and board directors, this listing is a signal of operational trust," said Ajit Stephen, Group CEO, Centelon. "It demonstrates that Finnate offers a governance-aligned framework for institutions that need to adopt AI with confidence — legally, safely, and at scale."

What Comes Next

Following the review engagement, Centelon will participate in upcoming PathFin.ai knowledge-sharing initiatives and industry webinar series, contributing to cross-industry frameworks for responsible AI deployment in financial services.

The PathFin.ai Knowledge Hub is publicly accessible at https://pathfin.ai.

Antengene has presented first preclinical data at EULAR 2026 showing its ATG 207 compound promotes regulatory T cell induction and immune tolerance advancing its pipeline for autoimmune diseases

SHANGHAI and HONG KONG, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Antengene Corporation Limited ("Antengene", SEHK: 6996.HK) , a leading innovative, commercial-stage global biotech company dedicated to discovering, developing and commercializing first-in-class and/or best-in-class medicines for autoimmune diseases, solid tumors and hematological malignancies indications, today announced that it has presented the first preclinical data on ATG-207, α masked and TGFβRIII-biased CD3-TGF-β bifunctional fusion protein in a poster presentation at the 2026 European Congress of Rheumatology (EULAR 2026), held from June 3 to 6 at Excel London in the United Kingdom. The data showed that ATG-207 preferentially binds TGFβRIII, rapidly downregulates T cell receptor expression on the T cell surface, induces regulatory T cells. Proteomic analysis revealed that ATG-207 markedly modulates functional remodeling of primary T cells. ATG-207 demonstrated potent therapeutic activity through a mouse surrogate molecule in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis and adoptive T cell transfer colitis mouse models, and was associated with substantially reduced proinflammatory cytokine release compared with an unbiased αCD3-TGF-β fusion protein control.

Details of the Poster
Title: A masked and TGFβRIII-biased αCD3-TGF-β fusion protein promotes regulatory T cell induction and immune tolerance
Poster Number: POS-1110
Track: Basic and Translational
Topic: Across diseases
Sub-Topic: Adult Rheumatology

Introduction: T cell-mediated autoimmune diseases are characterized by sustained activation of pathogenic effector T cells and insufficient or unstable regulatory T cell function, resulting in an inability to establish durable immune tolerance. These diseases remain an area of significant unmet medical need, as existing anti-inflammatory therapies may not sufficiently eliminate persistent pathogenic effector T cells or restore long-term immune balance. ATG-207 is designed to address these challenges through a differentiated dual mechanism that integrates CD3-mediated T cell modulation with localized, TGFβRIII-biased TGF-β activity, with the goal of selectively suppressing pathogenic T cells while promoting regulatory T cell induction and immune tolerance.

Mechanism of Action: ATG-207 is designed to localize activity to T cells through CD3 engagement while delivering controlled, TGFβRIII-biased TGF-β signaling. Its dynamic masking is intended to reduce systemic receptor engagement and limit off-target TGF-β activity. By preferentially engaging TGFβRIII over TGFβRII, ATG-207 promotes TGF-β responsiveness in T cells while potentially minimizing activity in non–T cell compartments. This coordinated mechanism supports regulatory T cell induction and attenuation of pathogenic T cell activity.

Results: ATG-207 showed preferential binding to TGFβRIII compared with TGFβRII and significantly reduced T cell receptor (TCR) expression on the surface of primary T cells. In healthy donor and systemic lupus erythematosus patient donor CD4+ T cells, ATG-207 demonstrated potent induced regulatory T cell activity, as measured by FOXP3 expression. Proteomic profiling of primary T cells treated with ATG-207 showed evidence of T cell functional remodeling, including changes in pathways associated with T cell signaling and immune regulation. In vivo, a mouse surrogate of ATG-207 demonstrated therapeutic activity in both experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, a multiple sclerosis model, and adoptive T cell transfer colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease model. In human whole blood assays, ATG-207 induced minimal production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-2, IL-6, TNF-α, and IFN-γ.

Conclusion: ATG-207 represents a differentiated immune tolerance–restoring strategy that integrates precision T cell targeting, context-restricted TGF-β activity, and TGFβRIII-biased signaling. The preclinical data support its potential as a next-generation therapeutic approach for T cell–mediated autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

Everest Medicines acquires rights to develop and commercialize LNZ100 in Greater China

Everest Medicines has entered into an asset purchase agreement with Corxel Pharmaceuticals to develop and commercialize LNZ100 an innovative therapeutic across Greater China

SHANGHAI, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Everest Medicines (HKEX 1952.HK, "Everest", or the "Company"), a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, clinical development, manufacturing, and commercialization of innovative therapeutics, today announced that it has entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement with Corxel Pharmaceuticals Limited ("CORXEL"). Under the agreement, the Company has acquired the rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize LNZ100 (1.44% aceclidine, U.S. brand name VIZZ) in Greater China, including Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan region. Everest will pay an upfront payment and potential development milestone payments. As part of this agreement, Everest will be assigned and transferred the rights and obligations under the LENZ License Agreement entered into by CORXEL in April 2022 and certain related ancillary agreements. This transaction is expected to further expand the Company's innovative product portfolio, strengthen its presence in ophthalmology, and enhance overall strategic synergies across its business.

LNZ100 is a once-daily prescription eye drop indicated for the treatment of presbyopia. Its active ingredient, aceclidine, is a small molecule acetylcholine receptor agonist that causes pupil contraction, or miosis, creating a pinhole effect that improves near vision. Studies have shown that aceclidine's mechanism of action (MOA) is well positioned to create a pinhole pupil effect while avoiding the impairment of distance vision called myopic shift. Aceclidine's unique pupil selective MOA, in which miosis is decoupled from myopic shift, is expected to allow it to target a broad patient population.

LNZ100 received approval in the United States in July 2025 and was commercially launched in October of the same year. In China, the New Drug Application (NDA) for LNZ100 was submitted in September 2025, with approval expected in the first quarter of 2027. The therapy has the potential to address a significant unmet medical need in China and position itself as a best-in-class, non-invasive treatment option for presbyopia.

"The acquisition of LNZ100 represents an important step in advancing Everest's strategic focus in ophthalmology. LNZ100 is a differentiated asset with meaningful clinical value and strong commercial potential in the treatment of presbyopia," said Yifang Wu, Chairman of the Board of Everest Medicines. "As the presbyopia patient population continues to grow, significant unmet needs remain in non-invasive treatment options. We believe LNZ100 has the potential to offer patients a novel, non-invasive therapeutic option and to further broaden the landscape of innovative ophthalmic treatments. The product has already been approved in the United States and is currently under regulatory review in China. We will continue to advance its development and commercialization to make this therapy accessible to presbyopia patients."

Ms. Sandy Mou, Board Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of CORXEL, said: "We are confident that Everest Medicines' strong commercialization capabilities will accelerate LNZ100's market access and bring this innovative treatment to more presbyopia patients in China.

Following this transaction, CORXEL's pipeline will be entirely focused on cardiometabolic therapies. The proceeds from the transaction will enable CORXEL to accelerate the global clinical development of its innovative cardiometabolic pipeline

Presbyopia is a physiological phenomenon associated with aging that results in a progressively worsening ability to see nearby objects clearly. It is caused by the gradual hardening of the lens. This results in a decline of the eye's adjustment function, and the inability to focus the image of nearby objects on the retina, leading to a decline in near vision. Studies have shown that the onset of presbyopia typically occurs around the age of 38, reaching a prevalence rate of nearly 100 percent at the age of 52 in China. Currently, the treatment options for presbyopia are very limited. Wearing glasses requires frequent removal and insertion, causing many inconveniences in work and life. Surgery, as an irreversible and invasive operation, has very limited acceptance. There are no approved drugs for the treatment of presbyopia in China and the medical need for non-invasive, safe, efficient and reversible treatments for presbyopia remains unsolved.

The NDA acceptance of LNZ100 by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of the People's Republic of China is based on the data from China Phase 3 Trial. The study was a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled study, including a 4-week efficacy study followed by a 6-month extension safety study, designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of LNZ100 (an aceclidine-based ophthalmic solution) in participants with presbyopia. The objectives were to assess the potential of LNZ100 to improve near vision among Chinese presbyopia patients and to evaluate the efficacy and safety profiles.  The trial has enrolled 300 participants.

The results showed that LNZ100 achieved the primary endpoint and key secondary endpoints, with statistically significant three-lines or greater improvement in Best Corrected Distance Visual Acuity (BCDVA) at near, and maintaining their optimal distance visual acuity (i.e., not losing 5 or more letters). Results also showed (all p<0.0001):

Rapid onset: 84% and 69% achieved two-lines and three-lines or greater improvement at 30 minutes, respectively.

3 hours post treatment: 88% and 74% achieved two-lines and three-lines or greater improvement respectively, and maintained their optimal distance visual acuity (i.e., not losing 5 or more letters).

Long duration: 61% and 30% achieved two-lines and three-lines or greater improvement at 10 hours, respectively.

LNZ100 was well-tolerated with no serious treatment-related adverse events observed in the trial.

For more information, please visit the Company's website:

www.everestmedicines.com.

www.corxelbio.com

HONG KONG, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ascletis Pharma Inc. (HKEX: 1672, "Ascletis") announces the presentation of three key studies at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 2026 Scientific Sessions (taking place June 5-8, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana), highlighting its differentiated portfolio in obesity treatment, including small-molecule candidates, a peptide therapeutic, and an oral peptide delivery-enhancing technology. The data attracted considerable interest from leading experts at the meeting and further underscored Ascletis' innovation capabilities in metabolic disease therapeutics.

Key Findings

1. Potent Oral Amylin Receptor Agonist: ASC39

In vitro studies demonstrated that ASC39 exhibited selectivity for the human amylin type 1 receptor (hAMY1R) comparable to that of eloralintide, with substantially greater affinity for the amylin receptor than for the human calcitonin receptor (hCTR). This receptor selectivity may help minimize calcitonin receptor-mediated central adverse effects, such as nausea and excessive appetite suppression.

In a diet-induced obesity (DIO) rat model, ASC39 was administered orally once daily at doses of 0.2 mg/kg, 1 mg/kg, and 5 mg/kg. A clear dose-dependent reduction in body weight was observed. At Day 11, animals receiving 5 mg/kg ASC39 achieved a 9.9% reduction in body weight from baseline, compared with a 2.8% reduction in the placebo group (p < 0.01).

In a separate head-to-head DIO rat study, ASC39 (5 mg/kg, oral, once daily) was compared with eloralintide (3 nmol/kg, subcutaneous injection, once every three days). Both agents induced body weight reductions beginning on Day 2 following treatment initiation. By Day 7, body weight had decreased by 6.0% (p < 0.0001) and 5.0% (p < 0.0001) from baseline in the ASC39 group and eloralintide group, respectively, while body weight increased by 0.6% in the placebo group.

Key Takeaway

These findings support ASC39 as a highly selective and potent oral small-molecule amylin receptor agonist with the potential to advance as a development candidate for obesity treatment.

2. Oral Small-Molecule GLP-1 Receptor Agonist: ASC30

ASC30 is an oral, fully biased small-molecule glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonist with a chemical scaffold similar to that of orforglipron (OFG). In vitro studies demonstrated that ASC30 was approximately 2- to 3-fold more potent than OFG. In non-human primates (NHPs), ASC30 administered at 1.5 mg/kg stimulated statistically significant and substantially greater insulin secretion than OFG administered at 6 mg/kg. In an NHP study, ASC30 achieved approximately 5-fold higher oral exposure than OFG. In participants with obesity, ASC30 showed dose-proportional pharmacokinetics across the 2 mg to 60 mg dose range, with a peak-to-trough ratio of below 2:1. In a 4-week Phase I study, ASC30 demonstrated favorable safety and tolerability across all doses (20 mg, 40 mg, and 60 mg), with no hepatic safety signals or elevations in alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), or total bilirubin (TBL).

In a Phase II study (n=125), ASC30 once-daily tablets topline results showed statistically significant and clinically meaningful dose-dependent placebo-adjusted mean body weight reductions with no observed plateau for weight loss. Placebo-adjusted body weight reductions at Week 13 were 5.4%, 7.0%, and 7.7% for the 20 mg, 40 mg, and 60 mg maintenance doses, respectively. Mean baseline body weight was 107.3 kg, and body mass index (BMI) was 38.6 kg/m². From a safety perspective, ASC30 titrated weekly to the target dose demonstrated approximately one-half the rate of vomiting observed with OFG titrated weekly. The gastrointestinal (GI) tolerability of ASC30 titrated weekly was comparable to that reported for OFG titrated every four weeks in the Phase III ATTAIN-1 study. In the ASC30 Phase II study, all GI adverse events (AEs) were grade 1 (mild) and grade 2 (moderate) in severity, and there were no grade 3 (severe) or above GI AEs. There were no drug-related AEs of grade 3 (severe) or higher. No drug-related serious AEs (SAEs). The treatment discontinuation rates due to AEs were 7.3%, 7.5%, and 0.0% in the 20 mg, 40 mg, and 60 mg groups, respectively, versus 0.0% with placebo. No hepatic safety signal was observed, and there were no elevations of ALT, AST, or TBL. In addition, there were no abnormal findings in laboratory tests, vital signs, ECGs (electrocardiograms, including QTc intervals), and physical exams.

Key Takeaway

ASC30 oral tablets showed dose-dependent weight loss with a favorable GI tolerability profile compared with OFG, supporting its potential as a best-in-class oral GLP-1R agonist. Global Phase III trials for obesity are expected to be initiated by the end of the third quarter of 2026. The Phase III program will comprise two 72-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies in participants with obesity or overweight, with or without type 2 diabetes, evaluating once-daily oral ASC30 at maintenance doses of 20 mg, 40 mg, and 60 mg, with dose titration periods of up to 20 weeks.

3. Oral GLP-1R/GIPR/GCGR Triple Agonist Peptide: ASC37

ASC37 is an oral GLP-1R/GIPR/GCGR triple agonist peptide developed using Ascletis' proprietary Peptide Oral Transport ENhancement Technology (POTENT). By impeding enzymatic degradation and increasing GI permeability, POTENT is able to increase the oral bioavailability of peptides from <1% to approximately 3%–5%. In NHPs, the absolute oral bioavailability of semaglutide in Ascletis' POTENT formulation is 3-fold of that of semaglutide in its commercial SNAC (salcaprozate sodium) formulation; and the absolute oral bioavailability of tirzepatide in Ascletis' POTENT formulation is 9-fold of that of tirzepatide in the SNAC formulation.

Utilizing the POTENT platform, ASC37 oral tablets achieved an average absolute oral bioavailability of 4.2%, approximately 30- and 60-fold higher than tirzepatide and retatrutide in the SNAC formulation, respectively, in head-to-head NHP studies. In addition, in NHP studies, ASC37 oral tablets exhibited an average observed half-life of approximately 56 hours, supporting once-daily or potentially less frequent oral dosing.

Key Takeaway

ASC37 is an oral GLP-1R/GIPR/GCGR triple agonist peptide with favorable oral bioavailability and an extended half-life, highlighting its strong potential for clinical development in obesity and metabolic diseases.

For more information, please visit www.ascletis.com.

Ractigen saRNA therapy converts white fat to brown fat for weight loss at ADA 2026

span style font size 14pt Ractigen Therapeutics has presented late breaking preclinical data at ADA 2026 showing its LiCO saUcp1 saRNA therapy converts white fat into calorie burning brown fat driving significant fat loss while preserving lean muscle mass and preventing weight rebound span

NEW ORLEANS, June 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ractigen Therapeutics, a pioneering clinical-stage biotechnology company developing innovative small activating RNA (saRNA) therapeutics, today announced that a late-breaking abstract on LiCO-saUcp1, its first-in-class saRNA candidate for obesity, has been accepted for poster presentation at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 86th Scientific Sessions, being held June 5–8, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

While current incretin therapies drive significant weight loss, they are increasingly plagued by the loss of lean muscle mass and rapid weight rebound upon discontinuation. Data to be presented at ADA demonstrate that LiCO-saUcp1 directly solves this industry-wide challenge. Utilizing the company's proprietary Lipid-Conjugated Oligonucleotide (LiCO™) delivery platform, the therapy uses saRNA to target and upregulate the Ucp1 gene—a powerful driver of metabolic thermogenesis that has historically been considered "undruggable" by conventional pharmaceuticals.

"The obesity market is urgently looking for the 'next generation' of therapeutics that go beyond simply suppressing appetite," said Long-Cheng Li, MD, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ractigen Therapeutics. "saRNA opens an entirely new frontier in obesity control. By activating the body's own thermogenic switch, we are changing the fundamental composition of weight loss. Our data show we can deliver profound fat reduction while protecting a patient's muscle mass and reprogramming their metabolism to prevent the dreaded post-treatment rebound. This is the definition of high-quality weight loss."

Key Highlights from the ADA Late-Breaking Presentation:

True "High-Quality" Weight Loss: In diet-induced obesity (DIO) models, LiCO-saUcp1 slashed fat mass by 45% while completely preserving lean muscle mass. In a direct comparison, standard-of-care semaglutide caused a detrimental 19% loss in lean mass.

Elimination of the Rebound Effect: Animals treated with LiCO-saUcp1 maintained their body weight and sustained a 46% fat mass loss for two full months after the drug was withdrawn, sharply contrasting with the rapid weight regain seen upon semaglutide withdrawal.

Best-in-Class Synergy: When combined with semaglutide, LiCO-saUcp1 synergistically drove a remarkable 69% reduction in fat mass (compared to 47% with semaglutide alone), without worsening the muscle depletion typically caused by GLP-1s.

Significant Liver Health Benefits: The therapy dose-dependently reduced liver triglycerides by up to 79%, demonstrating deep resolution of hepatic steatosis (fatty liver).

By proving that RNA activation can safely unlock Ucp1-driven thermogenesis, Ractigen Therapeutics is establishing a highly differentiated therapeutic mechanism that can act as a standalone treatment or as the ideal combination partner for existing incretin therapies.

The abstract is available online via the journal Diabetes® website.

Presentation Details at ADA 2026:

Title: Activating the Adipose Thermogenic Switch: A First-in-Class Ucp1 saRNA Drives Durable, High-Quality Weight Loss in Diet-Induced Obese Mice

Poster Number: 3066-LB

Presenter: Moorim Kang, PhD, Chief Technology Officer

Date/Time: Sunday, June 7, 2026, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Location: Ernest N.
OriCell s GPC3 CAR T therapy Ori C101 receives NMPA clearance for Phase II liver cancer trial

OriCell Therapeutics has announced that its proprietary GPC3 targeted autologous CAR T therapy Ori C101 has received clearance from China s National Medical Products Administration to proceed to a confirmatory Phase II trial in late line advanced hepatocellular carcinoma

SHANGHAI, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- OriCell Therapeutics Holdings Limited ( The "Company" or "Oricell") , announced that its proprietary GPC3-targeted autologous CAR-T therapy, Ori-C101, has received clearance from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to proceed into a confirmatory Phase II clinical trial in patients with GPC3-positive advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The study is designed as a prospective, randomised, open-label, multi-centre registration trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of Ori-C101 in patients who have failed two or more prior lines of therapy.

This marks the first GPC3-directed immune cell therapy anywhere in the world to enter a confirmatory trial, and the first CAR-T product for a liver cancer indication to reach a Phase II randomised controlled study — a milestone that underscores China's potential to lead the next wave of innovation in cell therapy for solid tumours.

HCC, a disease with few options at the late line

Hepatocellular carcinoma is among the most prevalent malignancies globally, with China alone accounting for roughly 410,000 new cases and 317,000 deaths each year. For patients whose disease has progressed through both immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) and tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI), options are essentially exhausted: existing second-line agents were developed for patients intolerant of, or progressing on, first-line sorafenib, and nothing has been approved beyond that point. The unmet need is acute.

Phase I data of Ori-C101: robust efficacy and manageable safety

Results from the Phase I BEACON study were featured as an oral presentation at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, which recently wrapped up in Chicago, drawing significant attention from the oncology community. All enrolled patients had failed at least two prior lines of therapy, including both TKI and ICI treatment.

Key results:

Objective response rate (ORR): 50% across the evaluable population; 66.7% in the recommended Phase II dose (RP2D) cohort; 100% in the highest dose cohort (DL4)

Speed of response: 89% of responders had already achieved objective response by their first post-infusion assessment, with marked tumour shrinkage

Overall survival (OS): Median OS of 21.4 months in the overall population; 12-month survival rate of 69.3% — more than double the roughly 10.6-month historical median seen with available second-line agents, heralding a potential new era of long-term survival for patients with advanced HCC

Safety: Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) was manageable; no immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS) or off-target toxicity was observed, and tolerability was favourable across the study population

Notable case: One patient achieved partial response at first assessment, progressed to complete response by month four, and remains in remission at 24 months

Mechanism and broader potential

GPC3 (Glypican-3) is overexpressed in more than 70% of hepatocellular carcinomas, as well as in gastric cancer, lung squamous cell carcinoma, and ovarian clear cell carcinoma — making it a highly specific and compelling target for cancer therapy. Ori-C101 is engineered to identify and eliminate GPC3-positive tumour cells with precision, drawing on two proprietary platforms: Ori®Ab (AI-assisted antibody discovery and engineering) and Ori®Armoring (structure-enhanced cell platform).

Ori-C101's profile has the potential to support use in earlier lines of treatment, and GPC3's expression across multiple tumour types provides a strong scientific rationale for future indication expansion. As the confirmatory trial advances, the goal of treatment in advanced HCC has the potential to shift from controlling disease to achieving durable remission — or even cure.

Principal investigators

The confirmatory Phase II study is a nation-wide, multi-centre trial co-led by Professor Fan Jia (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Honorary President of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University) and Professor Qin Shukui (Qiantang Scholar and Professor at Nanjing Tianyinshan Hospital, China Pharmaceutical University).

In a joint statement, the two investigators said: "In our earlier work on late-line advanced HCC, the BEACON study delivered important progress. GPC3 is specifically overexpressed in HCC and represents an ideal therapeutic target, yet GPC3-directed CAR-T approaches have historically been constrained by the immunosuppressive tumour microenvironment. BEACON was designed precisely to break through that barrier and find a new, accessible path for patients who have exhausted their options. The preliminary results from this novel 'armoured' GPC3 CAR-T construct — showing strong objective response rates with a manageable safety profile — not only address an evidence gap in late-line refractory HCC but offer broader lessons for innovative immune cell therapies in solid tumours. We look forward to the Phase II randomised controlled study, and to obtaining the expected results under rigorous scientific design, comprehensive management, and strict quality control."

OriCell co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Yang Huanfeng commented: "We are deeply grateful to the NMPA Centre for Drug Evaluation and relevant government authorities for their strong support of innovative drug development, and to Academician Fan, Professor Qin and their teams for their trust and active participation. This approval validates the scientific soundness and feasibility of our technology platform and marks a new stage of growth for OriCell. With a clear regulatory pathway now in place, we will push forward with Ori-C101's confirmatory clinical development, with the aim of bringing a genuinely new treatment option to patients as quickly as we can. We believe this progress will also underpin China's strategy for taking innovative medicines global and competing actively in international markets."

For more information, please visit www.oricell.com.
