The event, held on the occasion of the Vietnam Urban Day (November 8), focused on discussing the role of cities in economic growth, the limitations of the urbanisation process, and the need for innovation in urban development models, planning, resource mobilisation, and governance in the new era.

In his opening remarks, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, deputy head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, stated that Vietnam was entering a new phase of development, aiming for an average economic growth rate of 10 per cent or higher during 2026-2030 and beyond.

“To achieve this goal, urbanisation and urban development play a crucial role, not only as places for population concentration and production and business activities, but also as a space for resource convergence, market connectivity, application of science and technology, and improvement of labour productivity,” he added.

According to the data presented by Tuan at the forum, the country has 910 urban areas. The average floor area of ​​housing in urban areas is over 30 square metre per person.

Along with the development of urban systems, many strategic transportation projects, ring roads, and urban railways have been invested in, contributing to increased connectivity and expanded development space.

However, the quality and effectiveness of urbanisation have not been commensurate with its potential. Some localities still rely heavily on expanding construction space, land exploitation, and real estate investment, without being closely linked to high-productivity and innovative economic sectors.

Furthermore, the quality of planning and its implementation remains limited; infrastructure is not synchronised; traffic congestion, flooding, environmental pollution, and a lack of green space still occur in many urban areas. There are also shortcomings in the mobilisation and allocation of resources and urban governance capacity.

From this reality, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan believed that it is necessary to innovate the urban development model in the direction of improving productivity and efficiency in using land, infrastructure and resources, instead of mainly relying on expanding construction space.

According to the MoC, Vietnam's urbanisation rate is estimated to reach 53.3 per cent by August 2026. Urban areas currently contribute approximately 70 per cent of the country's GDP and serve as centres of economy, culture, sci-tech, and innovation.

On November 5, government Decision No.2116/QD-TTg was issued, approving the national smart city development for 2026-2030, with a vision to 2035.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van said that the plan aims for all cities to develop and implement smart city development projects by 2030, build a shared urban database, and gradually form an integrated, unified, and interconnected urban governance platform.

"Developing smart cities is not just about investing in technology or building control centres, but also requires innovating management methods and applying data to improve the ability to analyse, predict, and solve urban problems," he said.

At the event, the other discussions focused on improving institutions, innovate mechanisms for mobilising resources, boost public-private partnerships, and research appropriate urban finance tools.

Anacláudia Rossbach, executive director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme said that Vietnam had set an ambitious direction for the years ahead, to accelerate growth and transformation, advance modernisation and build a high-income economy by 2045. With the country also pursuing ambitious growth targets, the quality of urban development will be more important than ever.

“For Vietnam, this means that the next stage of urbanisation must go beyond expanding urban areas and building infrastructure. It means creating cities that are more productive, connected, liveable and resilient, making better use of land and infrastructure, mobilising investment effectively and ensuring that urban growth creates opportunities for people across generations and across the country,” she said.

The celebration caps a week of student action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), following the UN's 81^st anniversary on October 24.

In his UN Day message, UN secretary-general António Guterres urged the world to choose "dialogue over division" and cooperation over confrontation. UNIS Hanoi, one of only two United Nations international schools in the world, answered UN Day this year with: "One community, 65 nationalities". The school has grown from 63 nationalities last year, with students from Pakistan and Belize represented for the first time.

The UN Day Assembly opened with the Parade of Nations, in which students carried the flags of the 195 member and observer states of the United Nations. Student speeches and music followed, and the day ended with a community potluck lunch of dishes from around the world.

UN Day was the finale of SDG Week, five days in which students aged 3 to 18 turned the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals into action. The highlight came on November 5, when the campus held Earth Hour during the school day rather than in the evening. Around 365 students took part, switching off lights, screens and air conditioning and avoiding an estimated 27 kg of CO₂ emissions, the equivalent of charging a smartphone 3,200 times. Earlier in the week, students competed in the SDG Games, with each challenge linked to one of the goals.

“UN Day is a reminder of the purpose we share at UNIS Hanoi. Every day, our students from 65 nationalities learn with and from one another. They ask questions, listen to different perspectives and discover what connects them. Seeing the care and curiosity they bring to these relationships gives me great hope for the world they will help shape,” said Dr Elizabeth Gale, head of school, UNIS Hanoi.

The week comes as Vietnam works towards a place among the top 50 countries in the UN's SDG Index in 2026. With just four years left to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, UNIS Hanoi wants to show that schools can help turn global targets into everyday habits.

"Today reaffirms that the United Nations belongs to all of us. We’re seeing young people from 65 nationalities proving it by turning the Sustainable Development Goals into practical actions. As Vietnam and the UN begin a new chapter of partnership, it is this generation that will carry the 2030 Agenda forward," said Matthew Jackson, UNFPA representative and UN resident coordinator.

Students will put dialogue into practice again at the UNIS Model United Nations conference on November 28–29, where they will debate global issues as UN delegates.

Funded by the European Union under its Global Gateway initiative and implemented by CARE International in Vietnam with local partners, the project will run from December 2025 to May 2029 in Dak Lak and Son La provinces. It aims to directly support more than 400 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and cooperatives, with an anticipated indirect reach of approximately 1.4 million coffee farmers and supply chain workers.

The initiative comes as Vietnam’s coffee industry faces increasing pressure to meet environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, particularly in the European Union, which accounted for 38 per cent of the country’s coffee exports in the 2025-2026 crop year.

A baseline review conducted by MCG Management Consulting Group for SustainCoffee highlights significant gaps in the sector’s readiness to meet evolving market requirements. While 84 per cent of surveyed coffee cooperatives and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises had adopted environmental and social sustainability measures, only 44 per cent engaged in formal governance practices. None had published sustainability reports, while just 1 per cent had accessed green credit.

Traceability also remains a challenge. The review estimates that only around 30 per cent of Vietnam’s coffee production in 2025 was covered by certified or traceable supply chains with geolocation data, while the remaining 70 per cent continued to move through conventional channels, often relying on paper-based documentation.

The EU Deforestation Regulation is adding to the pressure on exporters to provide reliable traceability systems, geolocation data, and evidence of legal production.

SustainCoffee aims to help businesses translate ESG requirements into practical improvements through tailored assessment tools, technical training, mentoring, and financial support. It will also work with industry associations and local authorities to strengthen ESG advisory services, boost access to green finance, and support public-private policy dialogue.

“Many small enterprises and cooperatives are already making efforts to improve their practices, but they often lack the tools, resources, and support needed to demonstrate their progress. SustainCoffee is designed to bridge that gap, translating ESG requirements into practical solutions while ensuring that smallholder farmers, women, and workers are not left behind,” she said.

By strengthening business capacity and improving access to sustainable market opportunities, SustainCoffee aims to support a more competitive, resilient, and inclusive coffee industry in Vietnam.

It was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO), and Departments of Health and Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCs) from 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

Held for the second consecutive year, the summit served as a forum for sharing the latest data, scientific evidence, and international experience in dengue treatment and prevention, helping translate scientific knowledge into practice in Vietnam.

The summit featured four thematic sessions, more than 15 in-depth presentations, and more than 60 scientific research posters, covering epidemiology, clinical practice, communication, prevention, digital technology, and health policy.

Dengue is one of the world's fastest-growing mosquito-borne infectious diseases, with an estimated 100-400 million infections annually.

In Vietnam, dengue has remained persistent for more than four decades. Since 1980, the country has recorded hundreds of thousands of cases each year, with deaths reported annually. The dengue incidence rate per 100,000 people is significantly higher than that of other infectious diseases - ranking first in incidence and second in mortality among infectious diseases in Vietnam.

In 2025, Vietnam recorded 184,903 cases - the highest in the Asia-Pacific region, surpassing the Philippines, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. In the first 10 months of 2026, Vietnam recorded 170,684 dengue cases and 21 deaths. The disease circulates year-round across all provinces and cities, and is spreading to northern mountainous provinces such as Tuyen Quang and Son La – the areas that previously reported few cases.

All four dengue virus serotypes are circulating in Vietnam, with dominant serotypes varying over time and by region. Cyclical shifts in circulating serotypes, combined with climate change, rapid urbanisation, and insecticide-resistant mosquito populations, have made dengue outbreaks increasingly difficult to predict.

Dr. Hoang Minh Duc, director general of the Vietnam Administration of Disease Prevention, said, “Vietnam needs decisive, proactive, and evidence-based disease prevention strategies. At the same time, adapting relevant international experience to local conditions, alongside vector control and greater public awareness, is essential for improving prevention outcomes and reducing the burden.”

During the plenary session, experts presented evidence showing how vaccination programmes have contributed to measurable progress in several countries.

Dr. Rosana Richtmann, director of the Infection Control Committee (ICC), Santa Joana Hospital and Maternity, São Paulo, Brazil, former president of the São Paulo Society of Infectious Diseases, said that Brazil has implemented dengue vaccination in its public health system since 2024, starting in 521 municipalities and expanding to all 2,752 municipalities, with 24 million doses distributed.

"Real-world data from São Paulo during 2024–2025 show that a two-dose schedule reduced the risk of symptomatic dengue by 73.1 per cent and the risk of hospitalization by 87.9 per cent. Protection was sustained despite the re-emergence of DENV-3. In Indonesia, dengue vaccination is also being implemented alongside health technology solutions to strengthen proactive prevention in high-risk areas," she said.

The draft 2026 National Guidelines for Dengue Diagnosis and Treatment, presented at the summit by the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, introduced key updates to the prevention chapter. The draft underscores the importance of dengue prevention, particularly in the absence of a specific antiviral treatment. It recommends a comprehensive approach that combines dengue vaccination in accordance with current regulations with surveillance activities, the MoH recommended preventive measures, and vector control interventions such as bite prevention and elimination of mosquito breeding sites.

The coordinated use of proactive prevention measures is seen as a policy signal aligned with WHO recommendations for an integrated dengue control strategy.

To translate scientific advances into practice, coordination among regulatory agencies, the medical community, and healthcare partners is essential. As a scientific partner for the second consecutive year, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Vietnam supports efforts to boost evidence-based prevention solutions and raise community awareness about dengue.

Benjamin Ping, country head, Takeda Vietnam, said that whilst the awareness of dengue in Vietnam was relatively high, research shows that most people in Vietnam do not fully understand the risks, severity and urgency associated with dengue to themselves and their families. More proactive preventive action is needed to reduce the burden of Dengue in Vietnam.

“Takeda is working alongside international partners and health authorities to support evidence-based prevention solutions aimed at protecting public health including the use of vaccination as part of an integrated prevention and control strategy," he said.

With dengue occurring year-round, experts at the summit called for coordinated implementation of proactive prevention measures at all levels - from strengthening epidemiological surveillance and treatment capacity to behaviour change and encouraging appropriate vaccination.

The vaccine currently available in Vietnam is the first and only dengue vaccine approved by the MoH. The vaccine is also recommended by WHO for use in countries with a high dengue burden and has received WHO prequalification for quality, safety, and efficacy.

To date, the vaccine has been approved in 43 countries, with over 32 million doses distributed globally, and has been integrated into public immunisation programmes in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Indonesia, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru, and Thailand.

Opening at 10am on November 6, the Race Expo brings together nearly 50 brands in the sports and health sectors, offering a range of experiences for runners and visitors. The programme will continue with the 2.1km Kid Dash at 3pm on November 7 at Thong Nhat Park.

The main race on November 8 will feature four distances for adults: the full marathon, half-marathon, 10km and 5km, alongside activities designed to engage participants of different ages and fitness levels.

Community engagement and environmental responsibility remain key themes of the 2026 edition. The “Give Old Shoes, Share New Joy” programme will return, inviting participants and the wider community to donate used footwear. Over the three-day event, the Organising Committee will collect and clean suitable shoes before distributing them to children and people in disadvantaged communities.

The race will also continue encouraging the message of a “Smoke-free Run,” in collaboration with the Health Prevention Fund under the Ministry of Health, to raise awareness of health protection and encourage a smoke-free sporting environment.

In another step towards more sustainable event management, the 2026 race apparel is made from recycled polyester, helping reduce reliance on virgin plastic materials and encourage more environmentally responsible choices.

As the 10^th race in the global Standard Chartered Marathon series, the Standard Chartered Hanoi Heritage Marathon is also part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group Ranking System. Runners' results are recognised for qualification purposes for prestigious international marathon events, including those in Boston, Tokyo, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York City and Sydney.

The programme is expected to feature leaders from the Ministry of Education and Training and leading educational institutions from both countries.

At the plenary session, leaders of regulatory agencies, organisations, and enterprises from both countries will exchange views on policies for AI and semiconductor development, investment attraction, and technology transfer.

Presentations and panel discussions will focus on changes in the semiconductor industry driven by AI, opportunities for business collaboration, supply chain development, and the establishment of bilateral semiconductor industrial clusters.

The companies also agreed to collaborate on early-stage product development and quality assessments to meet electric vehicle performance requirements.

Through the proposed collaboration, Posco Future M will speed up construction of its overseas production facility. Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Group will secure a more stable supply of critical battery materials.

The two companies will work towards concluding investment and procurement agreements, while jointly developing and assessing the quality of artificial graphite anode materials for Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicles.

Posco Future M was granted an investment registration certificate and enterprise registration by Thai Nguyen authorities for its plant at Song Cong II Industrial Park on April 23.

Commercial operations are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2028. Once operational, the plant is expected to produce up to 46,000 tonnes of artificial graphite annually, generating more than $150 million in yearly revenue.

Posco Future M has already secured customer orders for the project's initial phase and is now exploring a second investment phase to expand production.

Synthetic graphite anodes play a key role in improving battery performance and lifespan. As a result, they are increasingly important for carmakers looking for higher-performance EV batteries.

South Korean company to build synthetic graphite anode material plant in Thai Nguyen Battery material and chemical company Posco Future M will develop a new synthetic graphite anode material plant in Thai Nguyen.

Posco Future M’s $282 million investment set for Q3 Posco Future M, the Vietnam arm of South Korean conglomerate Posco, will invest in a $282 million battery materials project in the northern province of Thai Nguyen, its first overseas venture in the artificial graphite segment.

Over 15 years, dacadoo has built an award-winning digital health engagement platform, backed by 51 registered patents and used by insurers, healthcare organizations and large employers in dozens of countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Germany and several other European markets. The acquired assets include the company's software and source code. For its customers, the acquisition means they can continue to rely on the platform, now alongside movement's own technologies: research-based behavior change platforms built through long-standing work with health insurers, health funds and large organizations.

The acquisition brings together dacadoo's technology and international presence with movement's products and capabilities, marking a significant step in its international growth.

Dear Fellow Shareholders,

On November 2, 2026, we signed definitive agreements to acquire a majority stake in Anamana, an AI-native micro-serial platform, production platform and global creator ecosystem incubator.

Upon completion of the transaction—which we expect in November 2026—Gamehaus expects to hold approximately 56% of Techforge, Anamana's holding company.

This marks the start of a new chapter for our Company, and I would like to explain directly what we have agreed to do, why we are doing it, and what we will focus on once the transaction is completed.

Where We Are Going

Our goal is to build a new kind of entertainment company for the AI era and, over time, become a leading global AI-native entertainment group. We started with games. With Anamana, we intend to add micro-serials. Beyond that, we expect AI to make possible forms of content that do not exist today. Across all of them, our aim is the same: to use AI to expand what creators can make, and to bring new, interactive entertainment experiences to audiences around the world.

What Gamehaus Brings

Gamehaus was built as a global mobile game publisher. Across a portfolio of mid-core and casual games, we provide full-stack publishing support to our studio partners: market insights, user growth, live operations, data analytics and monetization optimization, for audiences around the world.

These capabilities were developed for games, but the problems they solve are not unique to games. Finding the right audience, acquiring users efficiently, keeping them engaged, and turning engagement into revenue are challenges every content business faces. We believe this experience will apply directly to Anamana.

We will continue to operate our existing gaming business with a focus on cash flow and profitability rather than scale. It remains an important part of Gamehaus.

Why Anamana

Founded in 2025, Anamana was built on the belief that AI would fundamentally change how serialized video stories are made. That belief rests on two observations. First, micro-serials—also known as microdramas or verticals—have been embraced by audiences around the world, and the format reflects how people now choose to consume entertainment. Second, generative AI is a paradigm shift for audiovisual production, lowering its cost and empowering a much broader base of creators. Together, they make micro-serials a natural proving ground for what generative AI can achieve for mainstream entertainment.

To that end, Anamana built Anamana Studio, an agentic AI micro-serial production platform, on which human storytellers produce high-fidelity serialized video content with up to 97% lower capital, time, and manpower costs compared with traditional live-action microdrama production. What once required a full production crew is now within reach of an individual creator, and stories that are expensive or impractical to film, such as fantasy, science fiction, and animated-style series, become practical to make.

Anamana also built distribution and commercialization for these micro-serials, through its own app and third-party video services such as YouTube and TikTok, with creators sharing in the revenue their content generates, as well as an incubator operation to grow an AI-native creator ecosystem. Anamana is focused on Tier 1 markets, the mature, high-paying markets for digital content. In this way, Anamana operates as a vertically integrated platform that connects creators, content, and consumers, reducing friction across production and commercialization and, over time, interaction.

Because an entity I control is among the selling shareholders from whom we acquired Techforge shares, the transaction was reviewed and approved by our board of directors and its audit committee.

Bringing Anamana into Gamehaus at this stage will allow Gamehaus to participate in Anamana's future development and growth, and will give Anamana the publishing infrastructure, operating experience and resources of a listed company as it grows.

How the Two Businesses Fit Together

Subject to satisfaction of the closing conditions, following the completion of the transaction, Anamana will bring an AI production platform, a global creator community, and original content, and Gamehaus will bring the publishing, user acquisition, data analytics, and monetization capabilities needed to take that content to audiences and commercialize it.

Over the longer term, we plan to work with select creators around the world to develop increasingly personalized and interactive entertainment, where the line between a story and a game begins to blur. That is where our experience in games and Anamana's strength in AI-native storytelling meet.

Our Priorities

Following completion of the transaction, our work will focus on five areas:

1. Content supply. Growing the number of creators producing on Anamana Studio, and continuing to improve its capabilities so that high-quality titles can be made more efficiently.
2. Audience growth. Applying Gamehaus's user acquisition and data capabilities to grow Anamana's audience across its own app and third-party platforms.
3. Disciplined commercialization. Investing where we see clear evidence of returns, and scaling what works.
4. Integration and transparency. Integrating Anamana into our operations and reporting. We expect Anamana's results to be consolidated into our financial statements from the closing date, and we will keep shareholders informed of its progress through our regular disclosures.
5. A stable gaming foundation. Continuing to manage our gaming portfolio for cash flow and profitability.

Cainiao also unveiled a new "Global Tech in Three Days" service for AI computing and robotics companies, offering end-to-end supply chain support spanning prototype testing, scaled delivery and overseas operations.

The company also introduced its "Global Tech in Three Days" service to support the global expansion of consumer robot makers, AI computing companies and embodied intelligence hardware and component suppliers. Built on its global express, air freight and warehousing capabilities, the one-stop service provides hard-tech companies at different stages with integrated support, including customs support, forward and reverse logistics, high-value cargo insurance, forward warehousing and spare-parts management.

Global express is designed for on-demand needs such as R&D testing, customer demos, product fulfillment and small-batch replenishment. The company has signed initial cooperation agreements with leading firms in AI computing and embodied intelligence, with nearly 100 representatives from across the industry chain attending the launch event in Hong Kong.

Since its launch in 2024, Nexus has expanded from managing cloud-based quantum workflows to end-to-end application development and deployment, bringing programming, validation, compilation, and execution into one environment. Nexus provides managed access to the software tools and computing resources customers need for hybrid applications and workflows. Nexus offers flexible access and integration options, both in the cloud and on-premises.

Through 2029, successive releases aim to progressively automate and simplify error correction, resource management, orchestration, and deployment, enabling developers to build and integrate increasingly capable applications at the logical level.

By developing its quantum hardware and software together, Quantinuum helps improve application performance across the entire system and turn hardware advances into capabilities customers can use. Nexus is designed to align those capabilities with each hardware generation, giving customers a simpler development path and Quantinuum a stronger platform for winning and expanding user adoption. Developers can already automatically apply supported error-correction techniques to programs and run them on Helios.

Today, Nexus already supports more than 200 organizations, up 45% in 2026, while total job submissions increased tenfold in the 12 months through August 2026 compared with the preceding 12-month period. This growing engagement establishes a customer and developer base that Quantinuum can continue to grow as its hardware matures.

The Nexus roadmap organizes its capabilities around three stages of the application lifecycle—develop, optimize, and deploy—helping customers build hybrid quantum-classical applications that can advance with successive generations of Quantinuum hardware:

• Develop: The roadmap includes pre-built primitives, fault-tolerant libraries, and domain-specific tools that help developers move from individual quantum circuits to complete applications. The platform will progressively automate error-correction encoding, compilation, and resource management, allowing developers to focus more on the application and less on the underlying hardware complexity.
• Optimize: The roadmap outlines tools to analyze runtime behavior, resource requirements, and application performance. Future releases plan to introduce more error suppression, real-time diagnostics, and increasingly automated error recovery to help customers run larger computations and make more efficient use of quantum resources.
• Deploy: Nexus is being designed to coordinate quantum and classical computing across Quantinuum processors, high-performance computing systems, cloud infrastructure, and third-party tools—helping customers integrate quantum workflows into their existing computing environments and deploy larger fault-tolerant applications.

Building the Foundation Today

Quantinuum is already delivering key elements of this approach. Released in September 2026, Guppy FT and Guppy Algorithms expanded Nexus with supported error-correction schemes, fault-tolerant operations, and composable algorithmic building blocks.

Developers can write programs, automatically encode them for supported error-correction schemes, test them in emulation, and execute supported programs on Helios. Advanced users retain the flexibility to customize architectures for specialized applications.

These capabilities establish the foundation for future roadmap releases, including the upcoming December release which is expected to expand hybrid workflows so that applications can respond to quantum results as they become available. It is also expected to add supported error-correction codes and execution analytics to help developers optimize performance.

Connecting Quantum Applications with Enterprise Computing

Researchers and enterprises are already using Nexus to develop applications across chemistry, materials science, life sciences, and AI, while also integrating Nexus into new environments:

• Qubit Pharmaceuticals and CQT used Nexus to execute quantum Monte Carlo experiments on Quantinuum's System Model H2 and Helios systems.
• Researchers at RIKEN and the University of Tokyo simulated atomic nuclei on Reimei, using Nexus. They also used Nexus to integrate hybrid quantum-HPC workflows to calculate excited-state energies in a model biomolecular system.
• University of Cambridge researchers used Nexus compilation tools to prepare efficient quantum chemistry circuits while Maastricht University researchers used Nexus to simulate, compile, and run a quantum particle tracking algorithm exploring new approaches to reconstructing particle trajectories.
• Unitary Foundation's Metriq gym uses Nexus to access Quantinuum hardware for reproducible benchmarking across quantum computing platforms.

As generative AI and high-performance computing drive power demand in data centers higher, energy efficiency, power density and system reliability are becoming more important. HVDC-based power architectures are emerging as a key technology for next-generation AI data centers, reducing power losses and improving reliability through more efficient power conversion and distribution.

Under the MoU, Infineon will work with SOLUM from the early stages of relevant projects to review suitable technologies and product solutions, and will provide reference designs and technical support, drawing on its portfolio of silicon (Si), silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductors and control solutions. SOLUM will apply its server power design and manufacturing capabilities to develop AI data center power products and pursue application opportunities with global customers. The companies will maintain a regular technical dialogue on next-generation developments.

At the Infineon-SOLUM Collaboration Tech Day, held alongside the signing at SOLUM's SolSquare campus in Yongin, SOLUM showcased AI data center power solutions incorporating Infineon technologies. Among the featured products was a 26 kW-class BBU DC/DC converter for 800 Vdc rack power architectures, designed to support continuity of AI server operations during momentary power interruptions. Using Infineon CoolSiC™ MOSFETs, EiceDRIVER™ gate drivers and PSOC™ digital power controllers, the module is being developed with a target peak efficiency of more than 98.5%, with mass production targeted for 2027. SOLUM also presented an LVDC BBU DC/DC converter, an ORv3-compatible 33 kW power shelf and server PSUs.

Over the last several years, researchers have made significant advances in the field of quantum error correction, including early demonstrations of protecting quantum information from noise, achieving quantum advantage over leading classical methods using techniques with guaranteed correctness, and showing that quantum computers integrated with classical computers can run industry-relevant problems. The research challenge now is to learn how to scale these advances using more classical computing.

To address this challenge, IBM has launched a co-design platform for quantum error correction with the Quantum Science Center at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and AMD as its initial partners. The first deployment co-locates IBM's quantum computers, including its most powerful quantum processor, the 120-qubit IBM Quantum Nighthawk, with ORNL's Umbra High-Performance Computing (HPC) system, powered by AMD Instinct™ MI355X GPUs and 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ CPUs. The AMD compute provides the classical computing foundation for research into quantum error correction, decoding optimization, and software orchestration.

This co-design platform will allow researchers to evaluate the tight integration of classical and quantum computing to fuel momentum in quantum error correction research. Such work in quantum error correction is a key component in the Department of Energy's (DOE) Quantum Genesis Mission, which through its recently announced Q Competition targets 100 logical qubits running 100,000 hard operations by late 2028. Current progress by IBM in this field has demonstrated experiments with up to 70 logical qubits and 438 hard operations, which is active on the Quantum Advantage Tracker. Closing that gap means the field needs to achieve a roughly 230-fold increase in hard operation count.

"Solving the challenges of quantum error correction is essential to making quantum computing a practical tool for scientific discovery, which is a priority for Oak Ridge National Laboratory," said Travis Humble, director of the Quantum Science Center. "ORNL's strength in high-performance computing, combined with the expertise of our QSC partners – like IBM and AMD – creates an opportunity to push the boundaries of what is possible. With Umbra, we will now test new ideas, evaluate approaches at scale, and build the foundation for more reliable quantum computers."

"The question is no longer if error correction will work on quantum hardware," said Jay Gambetta, IBM Fellow and Director of IBM Research. "Today, the question is how to accelerate and optimize error correction to build systems that scientists can use to tackle meaningful problems. This new co-design platform for quantum error correction allows us to evaluate different approaches and determine the architectures, software, and workflows that will scale."

IBM Nighthawk's square lattice connectivity, industry-leading speed in maximum circuits per second, and real-time pulse control lets researchers test error correction techniques. It allows teams to compare what each method requires in qubits, time, samples, and classical resources to learn where GPU accelerators, such as AMD's nodes in the Umbra system, can help the most. The co-design platform will connect with the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, creating a pathway to explore quantum as a part of a broader AI and scientific computing infrastructure. This will help the teams co-design how quantum, AI, and high-performance computing can evolve together instead of in isolation.

IBM's Quantum System API gives the researchers deep pulse-level capabilities to quantum computers. On IBM quantum hardware, researchers can measure qubits mid-calculation and act on the results in real time, set the exact timing of the signals that protect qubits from noise, see exactly what the hardware ran, and work directly with raw measurement signals. Error correction research and discovering the next generation of approaches requires these sophisticated capabilities working together on systems large enough to test real codes.

Work conducted with the co-design platform aligns with the Quantum Genesis Mission by developing error correction methods that accelerate progress toward a scientifically relevant quantum computer by 2028. Reaching that goal requires workflows that combine quantum processors with error correction techniques that leverage high-performance classical computing. These workflows include concatenated codes, space-time codes, algorithm-aware decoders, hardware-aware circuit optimization and compilation, and software orchestration all integrated in one stack.

The new co-design platform for quantum error correction builds on IBM's existing collaborations with ORNL and AMD. IBM and ORNL already work together through the Quantum Science Center, the ORNL-led DOE National Quantum Information Science Research Center established under the National Quantum Initiative. Earlier this year, IBM and ORNL unveiled results showing how workloads running on both quantum computers and the Frontier supercomputer can simulate real magnetic materials and calculate molecular configurations of a promising material for producing fusion fuel. Separately with AMD, IBM is using AMD GPUs to accelerate the classical diagonalization step in sample-based quantum diagonalization (SQD), a key quantum-centric supercomputing workflow for current quantum computers. Last year, the two companies also demonstrated an algorithm that efficiently decodes quantum errors on AMD chips.

This co-design platform lets IBM, ORNL, and AMD start leading that integration. The effort will explore how future generations of AMD compute, networking, and open software can evolve with quantum computers. What the teams learn about error correction and HPC workflows will serve as a steppingstone for the field, which may inform IBM's path to IBM Quantum Starling, IBM's first fault-tolerant quantum computer, and future SI (Super Intelligence) + HPC supercomputers — and DOE researchers will be ready to put them to work on day one.

From COMPUTEX to a larger model platform

The platform builds on Skymizer's demonstration of Qwen3-VL-30B-A3B, a 30-billion-parameter multimodal MoE model, at COMPUTEX 2026 on June 2–5.

Built for enterprise on-premises deployment

For enterprises seeking to operate AI within their own infrastructure, fitting a large open-weight model within one air-cooled server offers a practical direction for deployment. Skymizer's capacity-first cards and decode-optimized architecture are designed to support that goal while allowing enterprises to retain control over their models, private data, and AI operations. Deployment still requires careful matching of memory, compute, power, and cooling to the workload. Bringing ultra-large models on premises also requires a practical path from hardware to a working service. Skymizer is developing an AI-assisted delivery approach to help enterprises select models for their workloads, prepare the software environment, install and configure the inference stack, and validate the deployment before use. The aim is to make these steps more consistent and repeatable while keeping model, data, and deployment decisions under enterprise control.

The forum brought together perspectives on probate, family trust structuring and private assets, giving participants practical ideas on how families can approach estate and wealth planning more comprehensively — from legal succession and ownership structure to liquidity, investment management and intergenerational wealth transfer.

Speaking on "The Family Wealth Blueprint: Beyond a Will to Family Trust Planning," Dr Eva Wong, Vice President – Business Strategy at Marvel Capital Holdings Ltd, said many families focus extensively on accumulating wealth but spend less time considering how that wealth should be managed and distributed across generations.

"A Will is important, but it may not answer every question a family has," Wong said. "Families also need to think about who should benefit, when wealth should be distributed, how it should be managed and what happens when circumstances change."

She added that these questions become more complex when families own businesses, have children with different needs, hold overseas investments or have beneficiaries living in different countries.

For suitable families, an offshore family trust may form part of the overall wealth-planning structure, particularly where cross-border assets, beneficiaries or currencies are involved.

"Offshore planning should not simply be about moving money overseas," Wong said. "It should begin with the family — where the assets are, who the beneficiaries are and what the family wants the wealth to achieve over the long term."

Marvel Capital's role includes offshore trust advisory, wealth structuring and working with professional trustee relationships in jurisdictions including Hong Kong and Labuan.

Wong also stressed that a trust should not be confused with an investment product. "A trust provides the structure for how appropriate assets are held, administered and distributed. Investment performance comes from the underlying assets and investment strategy," she said.

The conference also featured Choo Mun Wei, Probate Litigation Lawyer and Partner at Ho Partnership & Neoh, who discussed probate, inheritance disputes and succession issues, and Alvin Tan, CEO, Asset & Wealth Division of AEI Capital Group, who addressed private credit and private assets within a broader family wealth portfolio.

One of the central concepts presented by Marvel Capital was that different parts of family wealth should have different jobs, i.e. some for liquidity, some for income, some for long-term growth and some for legacy purposes.

Business leaders said Vietnam remains a top growth market for European companies, highlighting opportunities for further investment in high-value sectors as Vietnam enters its next phase of growth. The information was shared by Binu Jacob, CEO of Nestlé Vietnam at the 'Shaping the Future' discussion session during the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 Summit on November 3.

Jacob said, “There is no single solution or technology to address these challenges and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese coffee beans. It is vital to combine suitable coffee varieties, soil conditions, water management, and experience sharing among farming households to develop production efficiency.”

Nestlé has prioritised the development of coffee varieties suited to local soil conditions in the Central Highlands. According to Jacob, Nestlé has partnered with the Western Highlands Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute (WASI) to research the varieties.

At the same time, the development of suitable coffee varieties must be accompanied by the capacity for propagation, enabling large-scale implementation. Through tissue culture techniques, a single coffee leaf can be used to propagate approximately 2,000 seedlings. Over the past 15 years, the programme has produced 100 million disease-resistant coffee varieties and distributed them to farmers in the Central Highlands at subsidised prices.

Jacob said, “The solution is vital to address several ageing coffee plantations. Coffee yields typically begin to decline after around seven to 10 years, creating a need for replanting to maintain production efficiency.”

“To ensure the coffee supply in long term, attention should be paid to restore health and manage water resources through regenerative farming practices,” he said. “Once properly implemented, reducing water and pesticide can improve economic returns without lowering yields.”

A key factor of Nestlé's regenerative agriculture model in Vietnam is crop diversification on the same plots of land. Besides sourcing coffee, Nestlé also encourages farmers to intercrop pepper, avocados, and other fruit trees. Thanks to this approach, farming households can make better use of land, generate additional income, and reduce farmers' dependence on a single agricultural commodity.

“Nestlé's experience shows that intercropping does not reduce coffee yields per hectare. On the contrary, farmers' incomes can increase by 30-150 per cent, depending on the crops selected and implementation conditions. Crop diversification also benefits soil health, contributing to improving the sustainability of farming systems,” Jacob noted.

Changes at the farm level have a direct impact on farmers' livelihoods, while also affecting the quality and stability of raw material supplies for processing companies. This requirement is becoming increasingly important given that Vietnam’s coffee industry can’t rely on large volumes and low prices to maintain competitive edges and secure its position in international markets.

He further noted, “Vietnam was traditionally known as a supplier of low-cost coffee. However, in light of higher quality and sustainability standards in export markets, it is increasingly difficult to sustain a business model based on price competition. Vietnam needs to upgrade its value chain, from farming practices to processing, to develop products that meet evolving market requirements.”

He believes that smallholder farmers can also transition from traditional farming practices to regenerative agriculture. This presents an opportunity for farmers to improve their ability to meet international buyers' standards while creating additional competitive advantages for Vietnamese coffee.

Nestlé is working alongside farmers to ensure a stable supply of raw materials that meets the increasingly stringent requirements of processing and export operations. As one of Vietnam's major coffee buyers, Nestlé currently purchases approximately 20-25 per cent of Vietnam's annual coffee output.

"Strengthening the resilience of farming households is important for both company and the future of Vietnam's coffee industry. However, transitioning to sustainable farming practices requires time and patience. This process calls for long-term cooperation between businesses, government agencies, and farmers," he emphasised.

The experience of coffee cultivation in the Central Highlands illustrates how regenerative agriculture can serve as an approach to making more efficient use of land, water, and available resources while sustaining farmers' livelihoods. It is also one of the conditions for Vietnam's coffee industry to maintain its competitiveness as international market standards continue to rise.
