CMC launches cheap PCs

Vietnamese computer maker CMC Corporation is scheduled on Friday to launch a new PC line named Mambo into the market.

The low-cost desktop computer line is aimed at students and residents in rural areas. CMC said the new Mambo PCs are good for not only students but also users who want to learn about information technology.

The new PCs come with two different prices, VND3.9 million for the version with the DVD drive and VND3.69 million for the version without, excluding value-added tax.

With a 2.8 GHz processor, 2GB RAM and 320GB hard disk, the Mambo can satisfy the demand for study, entertainment and internet connection. Warranty is provided at CMC authorised centers nationwide.

On this occasion, CMC has a promotion programe to lure customers, including awarding the cell phone Bluefone produced by CMC to the first 500 buyers. The programme is on until July 15, or until when promotional gifts are gone.
