Lotus Sky Tea, from the national airline, is winning the hearts of milk tea lovers after only a few months.
Instead of spending about $1-2 for a popular brand or $3-4 for a cup of milk tea from higher-end brands, many customers are now choosing Lotus Sky Tea, which is priced around $2.10 each.

Vietnam Airlines said that both the classic flavour and taro flavour are now available on some flights departing from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc, and must be booked 24 hours before departure time.
The packaging of the milk tea is blue with the lotus-shaped logo of Vietnam Airlines. In addition to milk tea, the airline is continuing to launch a variety of new meals for passengers.
“The airline always tries to select the highest quality ingredients and controls food safety to the strictest level,” said the airline on its social media pages. “After processing, milk tea is marinated in cold storage at a temperature of 2-6 degrees Celsius, transported by refrigerated vehicles to be loaded onto the plane, and arranged in an area with a cold blower before serving in order to keep the most delicious and fresh taste.”
Previously, the airline only served fixed foods and drinks according to the menu. But with the new service, passengers can purchase their favourite dishes in advance through Vietnam Airlines’ preorder meal service.
After images of Lotus Sky Tea appeared on social media and received positive reviews, consumers and even staff are jumping on the bandwagon.
Khanh Bang, an employee of Vietnam Airlines, said that after only two days of posting the sales of Lotus Sky Tea milk tea on Facebook, he had received more than 500 new orders. “Currently, there is a discount programme for Vietnam Airlines employees, so I buy milk tea from the supplier to sell it myself,” Bang shared.
NoiBai Catering Services, located in Hanoi, produces the new milk tea in both flavours. In the capital, customers can enjoy Vietnam Airlines’ new milk tea at some Postmarts in the districts of Hoan Kiem, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Nam Tu Liem, Ha Dong, and Long Bien.
