As a long-term investor in Vietnam with more than 25 years of operation, INSEE Vietnam has consistently focused on planned sustainable development combined with social responsibility performance through community activities as its core values to guide all activities as well as responsibilities.
ECOCYCLE and Sustainable Development director of INSEE Vietnam Bruno Fux said, “The health and safety of our employees are our number one priority at all times. For our office-based employees, our technology infrastructure has enabled us to implement 100 per cent work-from-home and continue to maintain our operations.”
He added, “At our production plants and dispatch sites, we have scaled operations to meet the demand from our customers and have implemented strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure the health and safety of all of our permanent and contractor employees. This includes completely segregated shifts, suitable accommodation and meals for workers remaining on the site, and regular COVID-19 tests in line with government and provincial requirements.”
With the brand philosophy of “Build for Life”, INSEE wants to make more efforts to contribute to the sustainable development of the economy, environment, and community, helping to improve the overall quality of life.
Through the Build For Life Fund, INSEE has quickly brought activities to support construction workers stuck without work during the Ho Chi Minh City lockdown, which consisted of a cash gift for 400 masons who have been in need of help over the past few months.
INSEE Vietnam and its distributor also donated many medical products, including 400 protective suits, 300 thermometers, 1,800 masks, and 1,500 pairs of medical gloves to the Youth Union of Ward 10 in Dalat to support pandemic prevention.
In addition, the group also worked with Youth Union members to make 1,000 anti-droplet glasses for the force on duty.
“Our long-term strategies remain largely unchanged as we foresee the market activity progressively returning to pre-pandemic levels as the vaccine programme is rolled out,” Fux explained. “We continue to ensure as far as possible that we have diversified sources of key material and equipment supplies, as well as flexibility in our operating model so as to be ready to support our customers as opportunities and volumes scale up again.”
People are a core part of the company’s community development programme and, as a result, INSEE Care has been designed to improve the quality of life in the community.
This initiative includes a range of activities to sustainably improve the lives of employees, their families, and the communities in which it operates, in order to build trust with local communities.
INSEE Care covers all aspects of social life through community support programmes such as annual medical and dental check-ups, health insurance schemes, and also local empowerment support through professional training and seminars.
All of these measures contribute to the sustainable development of the local community, and at the same time create a close-knit relationship between INSEE and the community.
