Thus, the company is building a payment infrastructure to help all Vietnamese people make secure and convenient payments anytime, anywhere. In early 2020, surpassing more than 1,000 technology companies from 88 countries, Payoo was honoured with the NTT Corporate Social Responsibility award for helping Vietnamese people – banked or unbanked, living in urban or rural areas – to access modern payment solutions.
Payoo is now linked to more than 40 banks, popular e-wallets in the market, and many supermarket chains, convenience stores, electronics stores, as well as pharmacies to serve more than 10 million regular customers, handle payments for nearly 400 types of bills, services of more than 300 different providers, more than half of whom are public services such as electricity, water, tuition, hospital fees, and public administrative services.
Typically, Payoo’s multi-channel payment solution supports both merchants and shoppers to make simple and convenient payments with just one connection, making shopping and payment for everyone easier.
“In addition to business development, we will continue focusing on social responsibility activities towards sustainable development. Payoo not only creates products for the community’s benefits, but also actively participates in charity activities, fundraising projects for the disadvantaged in society, thereby helping to improve the life quality of Vietnamese people,” said Ngo Trung Linh, CEO of VietUnion.
This has been a consistent orientation for many years and is considered one of the focuses in Payoo’s sustainable development strategy.
Payoo’s staff also participates in competitions to support surgery costs for children with cleft lip and palate through Operation Smile Vietnam or donates to GreenViet, as well as the programme “Warm Tet for the poor”, among others.
