On December 25, Muong Thanh Luxury Quang Ninh Hotel will present the House of Muong Culinary Contest 2019.

Themed “Quintessence of Vietnamese Cuisine”, the cooking contest is an expression of Muong Thanh Hospitality Group’s desire to celebrate the culinary beauty of the regions stretching across this S-shaped strip of land, promising to bring pleasant surprises with the appearance of Vietnam’s famous judge quartet and a team of strong contestants who are chefs at various Muong Thanh hotels.
Food is an important part of a nation’s culture, reflecting its people and customs. Vietnam is renowned for its rich and diverse culinary culture, known as a “food paradise”. Vietnamese food is a harmonious symphony of five fundamental tastes, with fresh ingredients, minimal dairy and oil, complementary textures, and an avid reliance on herbs and vegetables, walking a fine balance between fresh herbs and meats and delicate spices. Furthermore, each region across Vietnam has its unique identities presented in local specialties.
Muong Thanh Hospitality, wishing to promote Vietnamese cuisine to the wider world, will hold its first Muong Thanh professional cooking contest on December 25 at Muong Thanh Luxury Quang Ninh Hotel – a destination sorrounded by famous tourist destination and UNESCO heritage sites. The contest is expected to set a new record awarded by the Vietnam Record Association (VietKings).
The dishes will be assessed by well-known judges who have extensive experience in cookery and gastronomy, namely chef Duong Van Hung, Masterchef Vietnam Ngo Thanh Hoa, Top Chef Vietnam Vo Hoang Nhan, and the only female examiner, author of the cook book "Huong Bep Nha" Tran Thi Hien Minh, to ensure a professional and fair battlefield.
The contest will bring together talented chefs from 54 Muong Thanh hotels, picked for their expertise, sense aesthetics, and nutrition knowledge, as well as principles of food safety and hygiene.
