On March 16, adidas organised Recode Running Festival at the Saigon Outcast entertainment venue, attracting hundreds of runners and celebrities, including models Minh Tu and Mau Thuy, Miss Mai Phuong Thuyand actress Diem My 9X.
The festival was the first ever in Vietnam to use virtual reality technology for its challenges. Notably, through the District application, runners were challenged for numerous games, including Pass By (where runners had to visit a position marked on the map), Scan (taking a photo at the selected spot), Mental (answering questions while running), and Time Trial (runners had to complete the run within a set time).
With this activity, adidas aimed to change people’s minds about running, showing them that it is not only a sport for athletes but a wonderful personal fitness activity and a fitting activity for everyone.
Recode Running Festival called on celebrities and young people who have a passion for sports and sneaker lovers to enjoy the running track, have fun, and share exciting moments while training.

“Running is becoming a more and more interesting activity and adidas always wants to organise events which can unite people through sport, especially running,” said Padath Shahin Mohammed, general director of adidas Vietnam.
“The festival and the use of virtual reality and street culture are really interesting, and me and many other young people found it very exciting. The event gave us a lot of energy,” said Diem My 9X.
Along with the insoles, adidas upgraded the upper with Primeknit 360 technology – a seamless weaving technology that forms a seamless block from heel to nose to bring a sense of lightness and comfort absolute.
With regards to the fit, the heel frame is applied 3D (Frame Heel) technology with a flip-over design that helps embrace the heel, fits, and provides maximum support for each step, bringing advanced stability for a more confident run.
