Vietnam joins regional chess tournament

The team includes Anh Khoi, who is listed as seed No. 1 in his U-12 group in the Blitz division. In November, 2012, he won the champion at the U-10 World Chess Championships in Slovenia and earned an Elo rating of 1,912.

Khoi has also registered to participate in the Standard chess category designed for the U-16 age group to test himself.

This is the 6-Round Swiss System FIDE rated tournament open to players of U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16, U-18, U-20 and above-50 age groups.

It gathers 386 players from 15 countries who will compete in Standard, Rapid and Blitz divisions.
