More than 3,000 people participated in the run. The money raised from selling the starter kit to join in the programme will be contributed to the Bridge of Humanity Fund by the New Hanoi Newspaper to help disadvantaged people in the city.
“This event conveys Amway’s vision in Vietnam market – develop the country and society,” said Leo Boon Wang, director general of Amway Vietnam.
“Health Run 2015 encourages every citizen to participate in at least one kind of sports to improve their health,” said To Van Dong, director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Amway, which sells health and beauty products as well as some household goods, has been present in Vietnam since 2008.
Amway Vietnam ranked first among direct selling companies in Vietnam in 2014, in terms of revenue, number of participants, commissions and other economic benefits offered for sellers, according to a recent report released by the Vietnam Competition Authority under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
